Alexandria O-P
Oates, Joyce Carol (1938- )
- Randy Souther's Joyce
Carol Oates page
This is a nice, nice site. It has links to
e-texts, information about the settings of her work, portraits, film and
theater adaptations, a biography, a list of her awards, a list of recently
and soon-to-be-published critical works, and an extensive biblio graphy
(117 critical articles listed - that's not counting the books). In other
words, this site is packed with information, although one could wish for a
slightly more categorized bibliography.
Plath, Sylvia (1932-1963) Poe, Edgar Allen
(1809-1849)
- The House of Usher
This also contains a collection of e-texts. More importantly, under
"Poe's Virtual Library" it contains a comprehensive list of links to
bibliographies and biographies, critical information, essays, and other
useful resources. Clicking on things like "Poe's Pet Raven" will call up
a version of Poe's famous poem with a cawing raven, so be warned. You may
annoy the other people in the lab if you're not careful. However, this is
a really good place to start.
Pound, Ezra (1885-1972)
- Ezra Pound
This site contains a timeline and a long bibliography of printed works on
Pound. Also contains links to other sites.
