My name is John, I live in Russia. I'm a professional musician (arranger/studio engineer). I work on a pro studio and have a huge collection of Soviet analog synthesizers, electronic drums, effects and other stuff. I often use these excellent devices, but my main purpose is to give the musicians all over the world an opportunity to learn about Soviet synthesizers and to use their unique power! I know that many people wish to buy a Russian analog equipment, but do not know where they can to. However, some famous musicians already have Soviet synthesizers in their collections - for example, Rick Wakeman.

Some models of Russian synthesizers, drum machines, effects are difficult to find even in Russia because they were made in limited quantity. Some experimental models were not put into batch production; they remain in single copies. But I constantly search for unknown instruments in my country; a number of rare models can hardly be found without my help!

A lot of Soviet synthesizers (and other similar devices) were made at former military plants producing electronic equipment for military purposes (for example, Polivoks was produced by former Katchkanar military electronic plant), therefore most of them have an original design and unique sound features of high quality. Unfortunately, almost all leading plants have stopped the production of analog equipment after the breakup of the USSR since the costly manufacturing of those devices brought the involved plants to bankruptcy.

Why nobody has heard of Soviet synthesizers earlier? Because all devices were sold only in the USSR. The soviet government didn't have any interest in selling them abroad, and the factories did not wish to uncover the secrets of their process of production.
