Plot: Sam Bowden is a lawyer. Fourteen years ago he buried a report which might have caused Max Cady to be acquitted for a rape which he definitely comitted. Cady is released from jail, intent on vengeance, and begins to stalk Bowden, his wife and his daughter Dannii. After Cady kills Bowden's dog, housekeeper and private eye and rapes a work colleague, Bowden and his family run away to live on a house boat. Cady follows them onto the boat, and after much tusselling he is set on fire and then drowned. No singing of the HMS Pinafore then.
