Cricket at Rutherford

Cricket is a very popular summer sport at Rutherford. We have four teams taking part in Saturday morning cricket competitions: 3 boys teams and a girls team.
As well as Saturday competition our teams also take part in the Super 12 Competition.

Saturday 19th February 2000:
Girls 1st XI - an exciting game was played against St Georges B. This was the girls first game together and they fought hard. The final score was 191 - 111 to St Georges. Player of the match for Rutherford went to Jean Jospeh of Room 3 for an outstanding 24 runs. Well done to the entire team.

Saturday 19th February 2000:
Boys 3rd XI - a game played with great enthusiasim. RIS bowled out Wanganui Intermediate Red for 14 runs after scoring 60 runs. All of the team played well and the manager has selected Beau Hape, Room 1, as player of the match. Well done boys.
