The Bracelet of Tut-ankh-amen | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Having looked around for a while I thought I would never find something which would help me produce the source of the Bracelet of Anubis, how wrong I was! I was actually hunting the Hathor Head on the previous page, using the search terms 'Tut-ank-amen' and 'Treasure' and came up with a whole page on his treasures in the Cairo Museum. They have a lovely page about it now and when I get a chance I'll put details in my links pages. The picture here shows a lovely scarab which the young king would have worn on his wrist and has the same sort of layout as the one which ended up on another boy's wrist - young ALex O'Connell. Looking at this and its scarab it would have made a nice bracelet for Imhotep don't you think? |

This lady should have 'special guest star' status in The Mummy Returns and is only to be spotted if you know what you are looking for, and you really need wide screen (which I havent got!) to really appreciate where she turns up. As Rick and Ardeth come throught the archway in the shadowy British Museum there is a large case up against the wall on the left hand side. There you will see two golden mummy coffins and a smaller one which is actually a copy of Tut-ankh-amen's . I had a very good laugh at that! The two coffins are copies of those belonging to Henutmehyit who resides in the real British Museum. She is known as 'The Golden Mummy', was a singer in the Temple of Amum and may have known Ramses II. Her name means 'Lady of the North Wind' |
