The pumas are the largest cat species in the new world. The height
for males is 8 feet and it weighs up to 220-lbs. Females weigh up to 160
and reach up to 6 lbs. The female can have 3-5 babies. So the male puma
has to get food for the female, so it doesn't hurt the babies.
The puma eats animals that are even bigger then it's own size. They
eat animals like deer, elk, and moose. In the winter they can eat up to
20-24 deer.
Their color is reddish brown but most of it is white.
In the morning the male puma leaves it's wife and the cubs and leaves
to go hunt. His eyes capture his prey and slowly start to get closer and
closer and even closer. Suddenly the puma runs after its prey. The puma
is aiming to get its fangs inside of the prey's neck, so it can slow it
down. Then he would drag it by the neck back home or maybe up to the
tree. When he gets home the family will eat. If that is not enough the
puma will go back and get some more like elk, deer, sheep, and moose.
Then men noticed that the environment needed to be clean. Humans
started cleaning the environment for them self's and the pumas and other
animals. By doing this, the average of the pumas began raise slowly. The
female's pumas started having more babies, and that made more and more
pumas.
