Huckleberry Finn

One of my favourite book character is Huckleberry Finn. He is the hero of Mark Twain's "The adventures of Huckleberry Finn."
Mark Twain's real name is Samuel Langhorne Clemens. He was born in Florida, Missouri in 1835 and lived in Hannibal, Missouri. When his father died in 1847, he went to write for his brother's newspaper.
He decided to write under the name of Mark Twain and in 1882 wrote "The Prince and the Pauper". His most famous books are those witch tell of the adventures of two boys in Mississippi, "The Adventure of Tom Sawyer (1876) and " The Adventure Oh Huckleberry Finn (1884).
His family life was not happy one: his wife died in 1904, as did two of his three daughters. Twain himself died in 1910.
Huck is a 12 year-old boy living in the Southern American state Missouri. Back in his time, in 1840, Negroes were slaves in that part of the country.
What I most liked about Huck was his determination to help Negro friend Jim to escape slavery by running in the North. He proved himself to be smart, brave and energic, doing all that he could to be helpful.
Living in a conservatory society, Huck rejected all his aunt's attempts to "civilize" him. He didn't like to go to school as he was playful and in a way, a troublemaker.
I couldn't be exactly like Huck, but I think that sometimes I am as obstinate and playful as he was. That is, I guess, because we are both children and that's how children are.
