![]() Thomas Dellor Irvine was born c.1828 Rahere Street, St Lukes, London, the son of John Dellor and Mary Anne Sarah Irvine (nee Boundy). John was a watch movement maker. Thomas emigrated to Victoria, Australia and married Mary Ann Sheasby in Castlemaine in 1855. They settled in Tarnagulla where their family Mary Anne Sarah, Alice Emma, John Dellor, Emily Eliza and Eveline Dora were born. Thomas, amongst other things, was a Dog Catcher, Rate Collector, Councillor, Valuer and Publican. Of Thomas and Mary Ann's children, Mary Anne Sarah married Frederick William Coe in Melbourne in 1895. Mary Anne's only son Frederick was born and died in 1887. Alice Emma married Price Hanna in Melbourne in 1881. Price Hanna born c.1858 Dublin, Ireland, was the son of John Hanna and Mary Price. Alice and Price had one son John Dellor born 1883 Emerald Hill, and it seems Price left Alice around the time of John's birth. At this point nothing further is known of him. It is believed Alice took up with Charles Arthur Bunce born c.1860 Collingwood, son of Edward and Ann Raynarth Milton Bunce (nee Davis), around 1885. They had a daughter Ida Jane (Jennie) in 1888, however this relationship also deteriorated. John Dellor never married. He was a compositor and died in 1887 aged 25. Emily Eliza married Charles James Collins c.1882. They had four children Alice Mabel, Edith Alice, Florence May and Charles James. It is not known what became of Eveline Dora - we have unfortunately lost trace of her. I would be grateful to learn of any possible information regarding the Irvine family.
