Famous Aeris: Illuminant Nina
The Aeris are a unique race in that they naturally possess any ability to 'phase' through objects at will. They also closely resemble 'Angels' from old human mythos. Their home planet is often called 'Heaven' because in their language it is called 'Aerisonata Erde' or 'Divine Land'.
With it's large floating islands with cascading waterfalls flowing down into the massive oceans then being drawn back up in equally impressive means, it is easy to see why 'Heaven' is the unofficial recreation planet within the Republic.
Originally brought to the Republic's attention by a band of Nevirus traders, the Aeris were soon adopted into the Republic with an agreement that some of the planet could be used for the Republic's recreational needs and in exchange the Aeris would given spaceflight and seats on the Grand Illuminant.
Aeris culture is centered around enjoying one's life and helping others discover what would make their lives more enjoyable. As a result Aeris typically serve as performers, counselors, artists, companions, and recreational planners and attendants. Though recently introduced to spaceflight the Aeris often give their ships unique designs making the ships themselves look like 'angels' as they drift through the stars.
Illuminant Nina and her two sisters currently hold the three Aeris seats on the Grand Illuminant.
