O.K., maybe not every day - but often. It is now 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Preparation day, May 1, 1995--7:00 Utah time. I have been here for over a month. Miguel did not get baptized yesterday. Yesterday Morning, we took the Cabezas family to the PIRAI stake building and saw the first session of conference - in Spanish. Apparently, they only show the Solemn Assemblies here - all other sessions have to wait for the Liahona to come- in January or July. But it sure was great to see it--and to find out that the new apostle is Henry B. Eyring. I think I finally felt the feeling others feel when they say "I can't believe it.' Wow. *I* He was in the meeting last August with my Summer Honors Experience class- I was in a small meeting (about 50) with a future Apostle- and it was *pr* one of the greatest highlights of my summer. I'm starting to get up at 5:00-5:30 to study more--sometimes. But, you know what? I came across a scripture this morning speaking to the Elders of the Church which says that "Ye are not sent forth to be taught, but to teach. . . And ye are to be taught from on high" (*D* see D+C 43;15-16). So I know where my concentration is to be. We haven't had many discussions this past week, we had one last night with the Tarqui family- the 1st- but I was tired, and Teddy, their kid, kept trying to get me to do something. I don't think I gave them all that I could have. We have also had a 6th discussion with a famiily in PIRAI - who were married and baptized the next day. The work overall is going well. With a little study of the language*,*-I've noticed that I'm starting to learn faster. Also, I got my backpack fixed by Hmo. Oswaldo-he put a new metal zipper on it--and it's really nice. I'm also beginning to learn the area a little bit better. I know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the head of this church. This is His work. The Gospel IS True

I know I already wrote once today--I just want to mention a few exciting things in the letter from home--Craig is the USU student body Presideeent-Elect, and Michael IS going to Atlanta, Georgia on his mission! I was there! Wow! Also-my mom seems to be a little upset about not having any letters--she called the office. She should be getting my 16-page-letter around today, though. I may be getting some comments in her next couple of letters. Well, Gospel's true and goodnight.
