One year ago today, President Ezra Taft Benson passed away, and Chad, Daniel, and I climbed Black's peak. This past week has gone pretty well. Last Saturday was one of those great missionary 'highs'. Miguel Rojas, Filomena + Andreas Romero were baptized. It was the night of a ward activity; a talent night and dinner because of Mother's Day. During this time, the Romeros were officially married. It was in the library of the *Pirai* ^ward^ building. Those present were the Romeros, the lawyer, Elder Altamirano, Elder Bravo, and Myself, and two witnesses from the ward. It was the first wedding I have ever attended. It's just like TV-basically, but it's amazing to think that because of a few words, two can become one. After this, they were baptized. There was a short dance afterward. The Ibañez attended the whole thing - Lucy, Ramiro, Alcidaz, and two cousins from Cañote, Carina and Oswaldo. It brought great joy to be able to see them, to see Lucy dancing with Willy Escobar afterwardss, incredible. Especially to think I had only met her two weeks ago. Wow. Aidaluz said she would be baptized this Thursday. If everything works out, We should have a lot of baptisms coming up. Yesterday, for Preparation Day, we met at Elder Altamirano + Elder Diaz's place, watched the Goonies and White Fang, and ate. They had steak - but it was the toughest stuff I've ever had. It took me almost 2 hours to eat it all. I also got a letter from home informing me that Nathan Miller has received his mission call to GUATEMALA! Fantastic! They also mentioned a horrible bombing in Oklahoma where 168 people died - including pequeñitos in a day care center. It really shook me. I cried. *Wel* This is the work of the Lord. There is no better activity I could be doing. I Love the Lord. The Gospel IS TRUE!
