Memphis Subdivision
This portion of the CSX Nashville Service Lane is the western half of the railroad's line from Nashville to Memphis. The sub runs a distance of 132.5 miles from Lipe, just east of Bruceton Yard, to Leewood Yard in northeast Memphis. Two branches are operated in addition to the main line: McKenzie to Dresden, and Rose Hill to Burkitt.
Heritage
The line from Lipe and Bruceton Yard through McKenzie to Dresden was formerly a part of the NC&StL Nashville Division. A connection track at McKenzie joins this segment with the ex-L&N Memphis Branch to complete the Bruceton-Memphis line.
