HER BEST KNOWN CHARACTER : JEANETTE DUCHARME FROM
'FOREVER KNIGHT'

Character :

Jeanette DuCharme, the 900 or so year old Vampire, was once a reluctant prostitute in
France, until her Vampire 'Father' and 'Master', Lucien LaCroix, offered her a chance of
freedom and revenge on the man who forced her into prostitution. Throughout the many
years of her life, she regularly travelled with LaCroix and her Vampire 'Brother',
Nicholas De Brabant, another mortal 'brought across' by her Master. During the
1990's, she settled in Toronto, running a night club called 'The Raven' - coincidentily,
Nicholas relocated to Toronto too, becoming known as a cop named Nick Knight. The kept
coming close to resurrecting their romance of many years previously, during her time
in Toronto (Before anyone asks, they were not really Brother and Sister, just in the Vamparic
sense ! So NOOOOOOO ! No incest ! LOL !)

She was known in the homeless community as a friend and regualarly helped women in
need, remembering the times in her distant past when she would have welcomed help.
However, during the mid 1990's, Jeanette disappeared without warning, much to Nick's
sadness. She, however, relocated and fell in love with a businessman with a child.
During regular sexual relations (LOL !), she discovered that she became mortal again -
he had a rare type of blood which, when she took a little, gradually reversed the effects
of her Vamparism. She returned to Toronto a year later, to avenge the death of her
true love, who was killed, and protect his young son. It is unclear what happened to
Jeanette, She either died in a fire or was 'brought across' by Nick..we will never know..
SADNESS ! Oh where is my favourite Vamparic Femme Fatale ?

Deborah Duchêne :

Deborah Duchêne played Jeanette DuCharme during season 1 and 2 of 'Forever
Knight' and returned for one episode in season 3, 'The Human Factor' ##sigh##
As well as being an attractive woman, she also is very talented. Apart from appearing in
theatre productions, films and television programmes - she is ( I have been told, by a
reliable source ) currently studying classical piano in Toronto. There's time for me to
start now ! WHERE'S MY PLANE TICKETS ! LOL !...Ummmm...pity she's married !

Other Thoughts :

In 'Forever Knight', she always wore these loooooooovely clothes ! Nice off the shoulder
numbers, mostly. She never looked cheap, she always appeared to be ..... kinda aristocratic,
in a crazy kind of way. So you can imagine my shock of her disappearance from season 3
of 'Forever Knight', to be replaced by the useless character, Vachon ! I was happy to
see her return in'The Human Factor', even though she was dressed, unusually for her, in
normal, ordinary clothes, she still managed to look radiant and attractive, in the way only
she could.
