In the Christmas of 1999, Mr. and Mrs. Akiyama give their son, Ryo his very own Laptop computer. Ryo is delighted with his gift, and spends most of the next day checking it out . As he was chatting away on his favorite online chat room, someone brings up the terrorist attack that happened a while back. Ryo tells them that he was there and had a vauge memory about what happened.

Another person tells them that is was the Digimon that were responcible. As he was wondering what a Digimon was, the power suddenly goes out. Then Agumon appears on his computer screen, to Ryo's great shock. Agumons pleas that the DigiDestined needed him desperately. Suddenly, the computer starts to glow, and out comes a digivice. That caught Ryo's attention, but he was still reluctant.

It wasnt until Agumon's please to touch the device sounded too urgent and way too real that Ryo finaly picked up the device. Suddenly, it explodes with light and vibrates out of control. Ryo panicks and faces the device at the computer. Before he knew it, he was sucked into the computer into another world. Ryo wakes up to Agumon's voice, and was totally shocked to where he was. Agumon tells his that they were in the Digital world, and that he was a Digimon.

He goes on fast on how Chimeramon and MachineDramon fused together, restored the Dark masters and imprisoned the DigiDestined . Thinking that his obsession with Computer games had got through his head, Ryo doesnt believe Agumon. .It takes a few beatings from Kuwagamon and a fall through a hole in the ground to finally convince Ryo that he wasnt crazy. Agumon steps in frount of Ryo to protect him .

After Kuwagamon was defeted, Agumon takes Ryo to a nearby Digimon village where he meets other Digimon and Gennai. Gennai explains in Detail why Ryo was summoned.
The DigiDestined defeted the Dark masters and Digimon using their combined strenth with their Digimon. All were Defeted exept for Chimeramon and MachineDramon. After Tai battled them, they became so weak that they fused into one Digimon to survive. Milleniummon..

He became so strong that his powers were unmatched. He then restored the Evil Digimon and captured the DigiDestined, imprisoning them under the eyes of the Dark masters. He explained that it was now Ryo's responcibility to rescue the DigiDestined and restore peace to the Digital World. Gennai then gives Ryo possession of Tai's Digivice temporarily. He tolled Ryo that he must first gather Digimon allies. Since he was not a True Chosen child, he has no true Digimon partner to protect him, so must rely on the friends he must make to protect him. The Digivice would help him control them.

With his face set, and his mind fixed on what he had to do, Ryo agrees.
Agumon and Ryo then travle around the Digital world. They make friends with many of the Digimon, and they in turn, help liberate areas of the Digital world that were under Evil control. They soon come accross the Dark masters. Ryo and his allies then defeat each one, one at a time. As each one gets defeated, the DigiDestined are freed, and after thanking Ryo, they are sent back to the Real world to prevent them from getting into anymore danger. Their Digimon Partners stay behind and join Ryo's Team of Digimon.

With all the Dark masters Defeated, Ryo walks off to the most challenging opponent. Milleniummon. He had a great fear of meeting his strongest and last opponent, but the will to save Tai covered up most of his and Agumon's fears.
They finally meat him on the Continent of Server, and Defeat him!

With Milleniummon gone, the Digital world re-builds itself and peace returns. It was now time for Tai and Ryo to return to the Real world. Ryo has a tearfull departure with his Team of Digimon that helped him in his quest. It was especially difficult to say goodbye to Agumon, who helped Ryo so much. After all their goodbyes were said. Tai thanked Ryo one last time, and the world turned dark.

Ryo wakes up, and he finds himself back home. The power was back on, and his parents had come up to check on him. The Akiyama's then celebrate their New Years Together, and Ryo never forgot his Adventures in the Digital World.
