Ryoko Resurrected

The Revival of Ryouko

Deep in the mountains, an old man teaches his grandson the way of the samurai. He tells his grandson, Tenchi, of the greatest of samurai who defeated a demon 700 years ago and locked her in a nearby cave. Curious, Tenchi steals the keys and enters the cave only to find a rusted sword and a long dead demon. Having freed the sword, though, the barrier on the demon's cage has gone and it awakes. Tenchi runs to close the prison again, but forgets to replace the sword.
At school the next day, Tenchi ponders the events of the previous day. While doing so, he dozes off in the school yard. When he awakes, it is night and he is not alone. The demon, now in the form of a young woman, wants his blood for her captivity because he is descended from the samurai who put her there. Tenchi runs.
As the midnight chase through the school ensues, the demon, Ryoko, manages to destroy half the school and miss Tenchi in a number of hilarious ways. Tenchi remembers the story of the demon and recalls the source of Ryoko's power. The sword hilt he brought to school that day jumps to life and takes off the gem on Ryoko's wrist. It detonates, giving the final blow to the school.
Ryoko disappears and Tenchi goes home to his father's house. There, he flops down on the bed only to find Ryoko already there.

Jag T. Webmonkey speaks:
Tenchi Muyo starts off with a bang. And explosions. And crazy monster women that wait in bed for Tenchi. Needless to say, I loved it. I was hooked immediately the first time I saw this. It kind of reminded me of Seikun Deitensu (Secret of Mana) a bit. What with all the sword pulling bringing monsters and all. That's where the similarities end, though. The game would've been better had the Hero come home to find the Girl in his bed. Long story short, I liked it.
