Flying through the vastness of space, a lone ship travels. The cargo. An entire galaxy. The reason. Tokimi wills it.
Setting of from the transport, Dr. Clay and his assistant robot, Zero, travel to Tokimi's stronghold, set in the remnants of GP and Juraian ships. They teleport aboard a transport ring and travel to the center of the complex. Although his commander is mad that Clay's previous mission has not been completed, he agrees to give him an audience with the other dimensional goddess, Tokimi. The instructions given are to take Washu to the complex to "talk" with Tokimi. Not to hurt her.
Clay returns to his ship and heads for Earth where Ryoko is traveling home after buying tea. Zero traps her and steals her likeness for the mission. She returns to the Masaki residence where Washu realizes the doppelganger immediately. She decides to have fun with Zero instead, tricking her into doing extra work for her. Zero is unable to complete her mission because she turns into a nitwit whenever Tenchi is near. Dr. Clay's instructions, eliminate him.
Late that night, Zero sneaks into Tenchi's room. Forming a blade, she thrusts it at Tenchi.
