One day I decided to make an AMV, and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life (indefinitely harder than beating Star Ocean with the broadsword). I was all like "Oh... AMVs, those are awesome. It can't be too hard to make one, right?" Well despite many problems, the bottom line is I made it, and It's done. It's a Princess Mononoke video to the song The Red by Chevelle. It has good parts and bad parts. It isn't exactly a great video, but I wouldn't say it's a waste of 4 minutes. I have two versions of the video, and I highly recommend the higher quality one because the video quality and resolution is uber.
Download Princess Mononoke - The Red (Chevelle).wmv - Lower quality, 352x240 resolution, 16.6MB filesize.
I recommend downloading this second one though because the quality and resolution are awesome:
Princess Mononoke - The Red (Chevelle).avi - Higher quality, 720x480 resolution, 83.4MB filesize
Instructions for downloading and viewing (it will not work unless you follow these instructions!):
1. Download and save each of the following files to the same folder. Make sure if you are using Mozilla that you right click and "Save Link As...":
PrincessMononoke-TheRed-Chevelle.z01
PrincessMononoke-TheRed-Chevelle.z02
PrincessMononoke-TheRed-Chevelle.zip
2. Run the zip file, the one that ends with .zip and unzip it somewhere. If you plan to keep it, I don't recommend unzipping it to the default C:\unzipped folder.
3. Play the file that is unzipped. It is encoded with XviD, so it will play in DivX player and will play in almost any other player.
4. Delete the 3 files you downloaded earlier if you unzipped the file somewhere.
5. If these instructions are too hard, you are computer retarded.
I do not have any plans to make another AMV right now, but I might eventually. If you have GOOD suggestions of an anime and song, and what clips to use for an AMV for me to make, you can E-Mail me the suggestion. But I probably won't make it because of all the time and work necessary. I'm no AMV making expert either. I'm just not all that creative in setting up clips for an AMV.
