Pumpkin Bread
3 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup canola oil
2 cups prepared pumpkin
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup water
1 cup dates, chopped
2 tsp. powdered sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325°Sift together flour, sugar, salt, soda, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, ginger,
& cinnamon. Mix together eggs, oil, & water. Combine flour mixture & oil mixture
Mix well & add Pumpkin, nuts, & dates.
Pour into a greased tube pan. Bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in middle of cake comes out clean.
Let cool 15 minutes & sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired
