Mediterranean Tomatoes

tomatoes
sprinkle of salt and pepper
1 cup coarse bread crumbs
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 tsp fresh basil, chopped or 1/2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp fresh oregano, chopped or 1/4 tsp dried oregano
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup melted butter or olive oil

Cut the tomatoes in half. Gently squeeze out the seeds and juice and scoop out a little of the centers. Sprinkle the inside of the tomatoes with salt and pepper. Combine the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic and toss with the butter or olive oil. Spoon this mixture on top of each tomato half. Place the tomatoes in a greased baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) for about 20 minutes or until tomatoes are tender and topping is golden brown.
