Trail Details - Maximum of 15-20 vehicles. Brulberg lies in an area of approximately 13 000ha in the Middelburg district, Eastern Cape in a mountainous are between elevations of 1 340 and 1 890 metres above sea level. The rout covers approximately 70 km on mountainous terrain with varying degrees of inclines, deep dongas and loose rock. The area is breathtakingly beautiful and a new scene meets the eye at every turn.

Accommodation
The two day route has three comfortable overnight camping facilities among the trees, consisting of stone lapas and ablution blocks with hot and cold showers and flush toilets. Other accommodation in the area - charmingly-designed homes that sleep four, six or eight.

Other Facilities
Apart from the mountain reedbuck, baboons and steenbok which are prevalent in the area, you may see springbok, blesbuck, black wildebeest and grey rhebok, all traditionally found here. At one of the farms there are San (Bushman) artifacts and rocks.
There are hiking trails, one of which winds through a game reserve, offering overnight facilities with hot water and each can accommodate up to twenty people. The trails offer a chance to watch game drinking at a water hole and experience Brulberg's rich bird wildlife.
Mountain bike routes are available and can be adapted to suite specific needs. As game has to be culled each year, Brulberg provides an unique hunting experience during the hunting season. Equipped with skinning and cooling personal service. Syndicate units in Brulberg are available which entitles you to all facilities and a wildlife experience of seven days a year.
