LUSCIOUS LASAGNA
 

1 ½ - lbs. ground beef                                  ¼ to ½ - cup water (or red wine)
1 - large onion (minced)                                1 - Tablespoon olive oil
3 - cloves garlic (minced)                               6 - long lasagna noodles
1 - teaspoon oregano                                    1 - Tablespoon olive oil
½ - teaspoon basil                                        1 - lb. Mozzarella cheese
¼ - teaspoon parsley                                     1 - lb. ricotta or cottage cheese
1 - large can mushrooms                                Optional (cheddar cheese)
2 - large cans tomato sauce
1 - Tablespoon sugar

· Brown ground beef, drain off fat.
· Add onions, garlic and olive oil.  When onions get limp, add rest of ingredients.  Simmer 1 hour.
· Noodles- Bring water to boil and add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 Tablespoon  oil.  Cook until done.
· Take 1/3 meat sauce, spread on bottom of pan and cover with 1/3 mozzarella cheese, 1/3 ricotta and 1/3 cream cheese.
· Then top with 3 lasagna noodles. Do the same again and end with remaining ingredients on top.
· Bake in oven 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
