This is not real.  It is part of a really fun game called HOCK!
News
June 22, 2002 Wow, it has been TWO whole months since I last posted something here!  Well a lot has happened in those two months.  Jodi decided to leave HOCK which meant I was out of a mentor and a location.  So I decided it was time to open my own barn.  It took a very long time to locate a spot to put Belleau Wood.  Finally, I seen an ad in the paper for 440 ac. in Glenwood, Minnesota, and I knew that is where BW was destined to be (at least for now, I don't want that comment to come back and hit me in the face if I ever decide to move the farm.  I will soon update the Information page to reflect the new layout of the stables.
I have a lot more new horses also here.  I was able to purchase three weanling colts and one weanling filly from Lochraven:
Lochraven Callixus, Hallowed Phoenyx, Faire Encore, and Vain Encore.  Also since Jodi left, I also have Belleau Wood Dancing Flame back and she is again for sale.  Also Kelly decided to leave HOCK, and I was able to get two Morgan mares, Earth Angele and Law and Order; an Andalusian stallion, El Dorado; plus three Icelandic horses, Kaffihus and Faxi (two stallions) and Isafold (a mare).
Since I now have sooo many horses, I am probably going to put more up for sale.  I don't know which ones yet and maybe none will be sold since the new farm can hold probably double their numbers.
The horses have done extremely well in the show ring and the race horses are making a name for themselves in HRA.  The winning of
Kilronin All Apologies in the Epsom Derby and Bid On Silver in the Sands Point Handicap basically bought the whole farm.  I am so very proud of all the horses and I am happy to be the one that ones them.  A quick note relating to racing, Fleet Dancerr was finally able to appear in a Triple Crown race.  He was fourth in the Belmont, Belleau Wood was excited that one of our horses was in such a great race.

FS Lyset is on her way back to her first owner Rowan of PSH.  She was very successful here and even though I very much regret selling her, I have too many horses.  Belleau Wood Dancing Flame was also sold.  She is the only Highland Pony that, to my knowledge, is not here at BW.  Jodi bought her along with a free breeding to a Highland Pony.  Jodi loves this pony so much that she is hoping to import some herself.  The Highland has a good start on HOCK now.  Also I have Jodi's go head to start another show.  Hopefully it will be on May 1 (May Day Equitation) and will have the A rated Equitation classlist.  I am also trying to get up a page for that division since I decided not to go with the HEqA classlists.  Oh I almost forgot the puppy's name is Micah.

SKR Tess has been sold back to her original owner, Megan of SKR.  I am in the process of slimming down the breeds at BW because I want to focus on a few breeds.  The breeds that will stay for sure are: Highland Pony, Hanoverian, Thoroughbred, American Saddlebred, and Morgan.  As soon as some of the horses sell the Spanish Mustang will be brought into BW's program.

Today has been a busy day. BW Victorian Lion was puchased on the first by Amanda Ward of WREC.  Also I purchased three new Morgans from Periwinkle.  Welcome: Irish Signature, gray 1995 stallion; Periwinkle Golden Idea, buckskin 1999 filly; and Perwinkle Spiritbred, cremello 1999 colt.  I am looking forward to these horses.  I hope that some more of the sale horses will be purchased even though it is hard to see them go.  One of my first totally homebred foals is up for sale.  I am waiting on a bunch of results for the horses to see how they did. Oh well, I finally chose the puppy I wanted his discription is that he is a very lovable pup and loves to play with his ball (there was more of a discription but I didn't want to write it all.  I still am trying to figure out a name for him :)
