Chapter 7:
Lena was worried about Heero. He had been missing for a while and no one knew of his where abouts. It would be a while before she saw him but she knew that he would find her. The footage of Genral Septims assasination had been mostly destroyed except for one satalite that had been over head. It had been programmed to zero in on any air craft to alert OZ of enimies. It had not had a matinace check since a few months before the assasination and so it would have the footage. She simply had to get it.
She had planned for this weeks ago and had even gone through all the steps a million times but wanted Heero to be there with her to back her up or at least be proud of her. Now that OZ was moving ahead with their plans she knew she had to get it now. She had stolen an OZ uniform. It fit her quite perfectly and so she knew she wouldn`t arise any susspition. she had after all infiltrated OZ months ago although since than standerds had been raised to aviod that problem in the future. As she walked to the OZ headquaters she grinned to herself. Now her mask was a world savior. Her personal favorite.
She stepped into the building and signed her name at the front desk than she continued down the long hall way. OZ was quite impressive. They tried so hard to act normal and yet beyond the zones where tores were allowed there was a lovely sceme to take over the world. She saw Trieze walking up and couldn`t help but shoot him a nasty look. He stopped. "I`m sorry, have I done something to offend you?"
She mentally kicked herself and smiled. "No, it`s not you. I`m just not having the best of days." Perfect, not too hateful and yet she had a tinge of annoyance in her voice. It was very convincing if she did say so herself.
He grinned at her slightly. "I`m sorry to hear that." She grinned and nodded her head at him. Whatever she wanted to be or needed to be to people, she was.
He was getting ready to walk away when she thought of something and tapped him. "Uh, could you tell me where the satalite room is? I was just promoted here and they forgot to give me a map."
He narrowed his eyes a little. She could have passed out right than. Solders of OZ were taught everything about OZ including where everything was after so many had infiltrated Oz and stolen inportent information. She had obviously aroused susspition. "What`s your name?"
Lena wasn`t expecting her name to be asked. Her mind raced and she thought of a convincing one that hopefully wouldn`t get her arrested. "Alisa Septim."
Trieze narrowed his eyes a little more. "When were you promoted here?" She had to hand it to him. He was very charming. It took a gentelman not to outright arrest someone with the same name of a man they killed.
Lena could tell he wasn`t buying it so she crossed her arms. "Honestly, I just wanted to see the satalite room and make sure we were safe. I`m not too confident in OZ in the least."
Triezes whole lok changed completely. He had to win another supporter. "Well, I`m not do at my meeting for a while so I`ll show you the satalite room myself." She knew it would work. OZ did want peace and she knew it but attaining peace through war and killing was the wrong idea. This idea had to be eliminated and since it had to be eliminated, so did OZ and anyone who started it and believed it.
She followed Trieze closely. He stopped and turned to her almost making her bump inot him. "So how old are you?"
She was a whiz at math so she quickly calculated a date. "16." She knew her real age, 15 was too young but 16 would have been during his first year in the military as general.
Trieze stopped at an elevator and pushed the up button. "I never heard General Septim talk about a daughter."
Lena decided to play this part out. She loked really sad suddenly. "He deserted my mother and I. I saw him when I was 14, he came to my birthday but I haven`t seen him since. When I heard he died I was heart broken even though I never saw him."
Trieze was looking at her quizically when the door opened and they stepped into the elevater. "He struck me as that kind of man." She wanted to say 'yeah he strikes me as that kind of man too.' but she didn`t.
They were silent until the door opened. Trieze let her get out first. Always the gentleman. She meekly walked past him and turned on her heels as she waited for him. "Do you have any faith in OZ yet?"
She looked around with a thoughtful look. "Well, I would feel safer if I could see the satalites and make sure we are safe, I hear the gundams have been causing quite a stir."
Trieze perked up slightly at the mention of the gundams. "Yes they have but I plan on elliminating that problem. Here`s the room. I`m afraid I have to go but you can look around, if you have any questons ask the people in there." Trieze walked away from her in quite a hurry. She shrugged and walked into the satalite room.
In reality it was very possable that she was General Septims daughter. She couldn`t remember who her parents were. The only problem was her age. It had to be somone else. The room was empty except for one worker. He stood up when the door opened. "I`m sorry ma`am. No one is allowed here."
She narrowed her eyes slightly and crossed her arms. "I was escorted here by His Excelancey. I am General Septims daughter so either you get out of my way or you`ll have more trouble than anyone has with the Gundams is that understood!"
The man backed away. "Sorry ma`am, I didn`t know. I`ll get out of your way and if you need anything just hollor. I`m sorry about your father. He was a good man." She nodded and turnd on her heels. It was amazing what saying you are a generls daughter can do.
She waited until she was sure she was alone than she went to the satalite alcove for the satalite over the area General Septims body was found. She typed in the date he was presumed dead and fast forwarded through the whole day until she saw the plain. It was an OZ plain. She zeroed in on the hatch and saw a gun shot come from it. She looked at the plain from all angles. They were caught. Lady Uhn was the one who fired the unessisary shot and Trieze was sitting in the third row from the front.
She took out a disk she had brought and slipped it into the computer. With a grin she leaned forward. "Time index 385-968. Copy to drive A." She blinked as the computer asked for a password. Trieze picked the passwords out so using her genius, she typed in "OZ rules", "Excilancy", and "Gundams dead". None of them worked so she finally put in the code breaker she had bought just for this mission if she needed it. It beeped away and finally found the password. "Marimeya." She typed it in and the computer copied her information to the disk.
She now deleted that time index and left the room the way it was when she came. OZ wouldn`t be able to tweak or change the footage beings it was erased. It was douptful they even knew about it. She put the disk in her pocket and grabbed the code breaker. There was no evidence left.
