What's in a name ?
(Name = nama, nomen, onyma, onoma, naama)

Some would say, a rose is a rose is a rose and by any other name would smell as sweet. But if you asked Alfred Parker or the kabalarians, they would argue that a name has poweful hidden energy that needs to be harnessed and that a name is more than just an identifier.

Yes, I am Gopal Dasika; just graduated with a PhD (major:Virology, minor:Oncology) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also hold a Veterinary medical doctorate degree from UAS-Bangalore. After studying diseases in vet school, my curiosity in viruses brought me to Madison to study herpesviruses. Here, I learnt with fascination some of the mechanisms of oncogenesis that we have just begun to understand in molecular detail. I am now on my way to San Antonio to study molecular genetics of cancer at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center.
Just out of curiosity and as a small experiment I put together a list of "Gopals on the web"(please don't go there yet!). By definition we should have "a lot in common". But is it true ?
