Fast forward to fall and we decided to move to Kevin's hometown. Well, it was pretty exciting and nerve-wracking for me to live in a new place. It was a stressful time as we both adjusted to different surroundings, new jobs, and such. After the new year holiday, Kevin and I celebrated our one year anniversary by going to Las Vegas. However, a week before we left on our getaway, we found out I was pregnant. Needless to say, that was definitely a life-changing event.
Well, we came very close to eloping at one of those little wedding chapels, but decided to wait and do it the old-fashioned way with our families present. We also wanted to be sure it would be right for us. Two and a half years later we got married with our wonderful son, Nicholas, present to share the special day with us. We now have not only Nicky, but we have also been blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Kirsten. Our children give us so much more love and happiness than we ever thought possible. Like in the Robert Frost poem, we have taken a road less traveled, but it has made all the difference.
