i noticed a part of my heart is missing
one of 2000 emotional puzzle pieces
Heartache and Sorrow are in their place
along with Lonliness and Melancholy
i went back and checked the empty box
he must've stolen it when i wasn't looking
he should've known that he could have just asked
how can it be complete without Love?

the next time i saw him he looked quite distressed
he told me he was sorry for what he'd done
but as much as he'd like to return it to me
he was afraid he'd lost it just yesterday
what am i going to do, left so incomplete?
he smiled slightly and dropped something in my hand
a jigsaw piece that could've only been love
'its mine' he said, and it fit perfectly
