Nijino Sora was born in Celeste, Paria. She was the Princess of Celeste, and it had been revealed to her mother, Queen Akiko, that she was destined to become Sailor Sky. When Sora was only a year old, she disappeared mysteriously. Akiko's feline advisor, Shina, was sent in search of the young girl. She was never found.
When Shina died, her young daughter, Mamela, continued the search. She kept with her the Sky Henshin Wand, ever prepared to become the girl's guardian. She finally discovered Sora, at age 11, living with a farmer and his wife. Sora had obviously been adopted into this family. In the same manner, Sora adopted Mamela, little knowing what lay ahead.
When Sora finally turned 16, Mamela revealed herself, as well as the girl's identity as Sailor Sky. She did not yet tell her past as a princess, but she revealed this later in time. In the meantime, Sora knows her mission to protect the shards, and refuses to give up. |
