"Moonlight Memories"

The ill fabled tale of Romeo and Juliette. Star Crossed lovers, who meet their fate because of their love for one another. Love can create a life, and love can drive to protect. Sometimes that drive, can make someone you deeply care for loose their lives. Love is a mighty, and powerful thing. But the question burns..... "What makes love so strong?" asked Usagi to Mamoru. Mamoru looked at her, and cocked his head a bit. "Usako, what do you mean?" he questioned. Usagi looked around the park, where she and Mamoru held there date. The air was humid. Even the park bench they sat on was warm. she stood up and looked at the pond water that lay rippling behind them. "One thousand years ago, we loved each other. Even after our rebirth, we knew we still loved each other, only we didn't know it. Another One thousand years from now, we are still in love with each other, and have a daughter to prove it." she said. "What makes love last that long?" she said. Somehow she knew the answer, but couldn't explain it. she had hoped Mamoru could express it in words better than she did. Mamoru smiled, and stood up. The walked behind Usagi, wrapped his arms around her and smiled. "Hmm...That's a good question." he said. Usagi leaned more back into Mamoru's arms. Usagi closed her eyes, and just rested in her love's arms. Mamoru held on tight until he heard calls from behind. "Mamoru!" yelled a voice from behind. Mamoru let go and looked behind him, leaving usagi vonurable to gravity. She lost her balance and fell behind. Mamoru's eyes widened and he hit his knees to help Usagi. "Usako! Are you alright? She surprised me." he said helping her up. Usagi rubbed her back. "Oi, who could that have been." she whispered. "Ah, Usagi, I'm sorry!" said Rei walking closer. "I didn't know you and Mamoru were going to hold your date here." she said with a smile. "Ahh, It's alright. What are you doing at the park, I thought you had chores to do?" asked Usagi. "I finished them early and decided to do somethings. Minako, Ami, and Makoto are meeting me here. We are going to see a movie.", "Huh? Which movie? You made plans, without Me?" whined Usagi. "You had plans! They were called Mamoru!" she yelled. Mamoru stood back and sighed at the situation. He loves his Usako, but sometimes she had a little maturing to do. "Girls please. Settle down. Usagi, we can finish this date some other time. If you want to go with the girls to a movie, you can." he said. Usagi turned from her argument with Rei, and looked at Mamoru. "But...", "Ah! Usagi, just finish your date with Mamoru and have a good time! You can always see this movie some other time" yelled Rei. Usagi, looked at Rei, resisting the urge to yell back. She nodded and grabbed Mamoru's arm. "I'll stay with him! I'll spend the rest of the day with my honey." she beamed. Rei sighed and walked off, the others were going to be here any moment. Mamoru laughed a bit. "If you wanted to stay with me, then why do that?". Usagi smiled. She didn't say a word, just smiled. Mamoru has seen Usagi do that too often. He has just come to the conclusion that she liked to tease them. "Mamo-chan, What do you want to do now?" she asked. Mamoru scratch the side of his face. "Lets see, The girls are going to see a movie. I guess we could go to the mall and eat at the food court, then figure out something to do there." he commented. Usagi smiled, grabbed Mamoru's hand and kind of drug him toward the short walk to the mall. ----- "I will have what I desire" said a woman on the rooftops. "Before the attack of Beryle, Your mother cursed me.... The Queen may no longer be alive, but All I need is your blood." said the female like figure. Her hair was dark. Short. Her eyes cold. Like one of a angered lion, about to kill it's prey. She dissolved into a rain of black beams, and strobed fro one building to another. ----- "Mamo-chan..."she trailed. "I can't explain it, but I sense something. Something wrong..." "Mamo-chan, what do you mean?" she questioned. "There is just something, here. If Rei were here, she could predict something at the very least." Mamoru broke his hand free from Usagi, and stood firmly in his place. As if he was in a defensive. "Mamo-chan...." she whispered. "I must have your blood!" shouted a voice. The crowed heading into the mall, looked up in fear of this dark demented figure. "Your blood must spill for my desire!" she roared heading into the terrified crowd. Usagi stepped back, and looked at the monster. She knew It was after her. So Did Mamoru. "I'll draw her away from the crowd" she whispered into Mamoru's ear. Then ran off before Mamoru could answer. Mamoru turn around shocked, and called out "Usako!". And frantically ran after her. By the time he caught up to her, she had dawned her Eternal Sailor uniform. "We must find out why she wants me" said a determand Sailormoon. "For my desire" said the woman. Sailormoon turned around and stared at the woman. She was more calm. More focused than before. "I've never seen you before. What do you want with me?" she questioned. "1,000 years ago, your mother cursed me" she hissed. "My mother? Queen Serenity?!". The monster nodded. "My name is Evera. I was a royal advisor. She falsely accused me of treason. And cursed me with a lonely life of eternal coldness." she winced as she thought. "I'm not surprised that you don't remember me. You were only a baby, when i was cursed. I never had anything against you. You were too sweet. Too innocent." Evera sighed. "What does that have to do with me. My mother has long since passed." she asked, in a sort of plea. "To release me from my binds. The blood shed of a moon princess will set me free. But you must be spilled by MY hands." she laughed. "Power?" whispered Mamoru. "Did you seek power to over throw the Queen?!" he shouted. Evera shifted her slinted eyes to Mamoru. "This is no concern of your earthling". she said. She lifted her finger, and and with a wave of energy, knocked him off of his feet and a ways down the street. Sailormoon looked at mamoru for a few minutes. She sighed in relief after she was him get up. "Mamo-chan" she whispered. "I cannot help what my mother did to you. I cannot let you take my life." she shouted. She would not let her take her life without a fight. "Sailormoon!" shouted Mamoru. "Hmm? I suppose this is your boyfriend?" she laughed. "He is not, He is just a by-stander. Leave him alone" "I don't believe you" Evera smirked. She once again disappeared and reappeared behind Mamoru. Her fingernails slowly extended, and pressed into his neck. "You or him" she laughed. "Mamo-chan...." she whispered. Mamoru glared at Sailormoon. It was a glare that said to stand back. Sailormoon nodded, and stepped back. With every bit of energy, he tossed the woman over his shoulder and sent her passed Sailormoon. But Sailormoon's reaction wasn't expected. Sailormoon's knees began to shake, and she collapsed to the ground. Sailormoon lay still on the ground., but behind her, the woman was laughing. Progressing louder. "You are so typical. I knew you would do that, young prince" she laughed. Mamoru was to concerned for Usagi then to reply to HER. He gently turned usagi on her back and lifted her into his arms. "Usako...please Answer me" he whispered. "Usako...." he closed his eyes and began to cry. As he opened his he saw wave of white energy flowing from Sailormoon's brooch. The woman extened her hand and gathered the energy as it began to flow through her veins. "So this is it? I had forgotten what this felt like". "Why? You said you had nothing against her. why do this" cried Mamoru. Evera stepped back, with a little shame. "I didn't want to. If The queen hadn't have cursed me...." Mamoru, still holding a lifeless Sailormoon. Evera looked at him, innocently. "I had to do that for what I desired." she then walked over to Mamoru and Sailormoon. "I'm sorry, but I've waited for over one thousands years for this." she said bending down to them. "You have your damned power!" Yelled Mamoru. He turned his eyes back to his dear Usagi. "Usako. You asked me, what made love so strong. Then I wasn't sure I had an answer. But now, I think I do. The emtion I feel for you. The love you feel for me. That bond. Love is strong because it was ment to be. It seems like our love is constantly being challenged. But that only made us stronger. Death, rebirth. That's nothing. I love you. And I will continue to love you...because I know you will love me. I love you...sweetheart." he said sweeping her golden hair off her face. Evera, wiped tears from her face. "I never said I wanted power." Mamoaru relunctatly looked up. "I desired My mortality." she said with a smile. "Now that I have what I have wanted. Queen Serenity and I are even." Mamoru still stared at her. "So why aren't you leaving?". Evera shook her head. "I can't leave, without restoring her life. The life I took. She isn't completely dead. I just need to spill her blood, only I attacked her to hard. Please forgive me for that." she said. She bent down and extend her hands over her body. From her hand, a perpetual rosey light emitted from her hands, and descended into Sailormoon's body. Sailormoon's eyes fluttered. She looked at Mamoru, then at Evera. "Thank You, and I'm sorry" Sailormoon whispered. Mamoru looked at Sailormoon. "Sorry?" he asked. Sailormoon replied, "I'm Sorry for what happened to Evera. Even though it seemed like I was dead. I could hear everything. . What will happen to you know, she said reverting back into Usagi. "Your alri---" said Evera before she fainted. Usagi leaned over Evera. She then woke up again. "What will happen to be now. I'm returning the one thousand years I stole from time. Princess....Usagi was it. I-i'm sorry for everything I d-did. -- 1,000 years, I've longed for -- death. I want you t-to know, -- I would never hurt you. Or want-ted to hurt you. -- and I never betrayed your mother. The one who did has long since -- paid for there c-crime. All I can do know is ask for your -- forgiveness" she manage to stutter out. Usagi shook her head and grabbed her hand. "I should be the one to apologize to you. You didn't deserve your long life of suffering. I'm sure if my mother was here, she would forgive you too." said Usagi. "I f-feel better hearing that. Maybe I'll see your mother on the other side. Princess. May I ask you a favor?" asked Evera. Usag nodded, and added "Anything". "Please forget I existed ----" she said disappearing into a energy ball. ------ Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako walked out of the Mall theater, conversing about the moive they had just saw. "That movie was missing something" complained Makoto. "I agree. I don't think the leading man was playing to his potential." said Minako. "I don't know you guys. I thought it was pretty good" said Ami. "Yeah, I guess it was alright" added Minako. Rei laughed and saw Usagi and Mamoru, sitting inside the food court. "Hey Usagi! Mamoru!" yelled Minako. All four walked up to the lovebirds. "Hi guys!" smiled Usagi. "We aren't intruding on your date are we?" asked Ami. "Nope, Mamo-chan and I are just talking. We are thinking about seeing a movie." she smiled. Rei gave an exasperated sigh. "I thought you wanted to spend some alone time with Mamoru!" yelled Rei. "I am! WE are going to see a movie" countered Usagi. "Your acting so immature! Why didn't you just come with us when You had the chance!" While they argued with each other Minako looked at Mamoru. "Hey, Mamoru. What's wrong?" she asked. "I don't know. It just feels like, I have forgotten something..." said Mamoru. Usagi broke off her argument and tured tot he others. "Yeah, now that you mention it, I feel like I forgot something too" continues Usagi. ------ "I'm glad they don't remember." said Evera, emersed in a white light. "Yes, but do you think you should have forgotten you?" followed Queen Serenity. "I don't want to be remembered. I should have died years ago. I'm not supposed to be remembered by the people of this time." she said with a smile. Queen Serenity looked over. "I'm sorry. I didn't you were not the betrayer... until it was to late." "My queen. It's all right. All has been forgiven. All we need to do now, is look over those children. Those Children burn with the light of the future. We need to look after them. They will have obsticals. They will need out help." Evera said. For now Evera has her peace. and will look over Princess Serenity, and the other children burning with the beautiful light of peace. The beautiful light of hope. Most importantly, the light of love and friendship that they share for each other. --The end |
