Phoenix Rising Part I- Solar Flare

"Serena are you up...?  Hey Luna where is Serena?"

"She left hours ago to complete a school project with Ami and Lita. She will be back in a couple of hours."  purred the little Luna as she got up from her mid-morning nap.  Rini walked from the door with Luna P following close behind, and plopped on Serena's bed next to Luna, and uncannily picked her up to stroke her soft fur.

"She never takes me with her anymore.  Now and days I spend most of my time with Darien, just because he will spend it with me.  Will they ever get back together?  They were so happy when I first dropped in, now they won't even speak to each other.  It makes me so upset I just want to cry." the young girl starts to whimper softly, but it doesn't last long.

"Don't cry Rini.  Serena has just been real busy lately.  Next week she has her exams and at the end of the summer break will be entering Juuban High School if she is lucky and actually studies and passes.  There is nothing we can do about Serena and Darien.  They are going to have to work that out for themselves."

"I know, maybe during the summer she will take me places and we can work on my training...I didn't come back from the future to sit around all day..." Rini's words trial off as she rubbed her fists into her eyes to dry her few remaining tears.

"How do you feel like going for a walk Rini?  It really is a beautiful day out, we could go to the park and get some ice cream will that make you feel better?"  The little Princess's face lights up and she is immediately in the air.

      "Yeah!!!"

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

"Wow!  Serena come look at this view from over here.  This will be a perfect shot of the city for our presentation."  Ami calls to Serena from the far end of the Tokyo tower observation deck.

"Goodness, this is beautiful.  Serena will you come here already?  Before Ami and I are through High School?" calls Lita in a motherly tone of voice as Serena comes rushing forward, camera in hand.  She is running so fast that she doesn't even notice the small rise in the grate metal floor.

      "Watch out!!!!" they both cry.

      "Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!"

Serena plummets toward the railing falling half way over.

"Serena!!!" Ami and Lita yell as they catch her before she falls.  They pull her back to safety and all breathe a sigh of relief.

"You really ought to be more careful.  That one could have killed you." Ami warns Serena.

"Yeah Serena!  You really ought to be more careful.  I would hate to see the reaction on peoples faces when the read tomorrow's headline." a familiar voice taunts her, "'Girl plummets to her death off Tokyo Tower while taking pictures for school project.'  Come on Meatball Head, get it together.  You are such a dumb klutz.  When will you ever learn?"  The voice is Darien, the guy she once loved, but now she tries to treat him only as a memory.  Tears weld in Serena's eyes, and she tries to restrain them.  The pain of hearing that from some she deep down inside still loves, was killer.  Her hands come to eyes as she fights a losing battle.

"I can't stand to be in the sight of him any more." she thinks to herself as she hands the camera to Lita, and runs, tears streaming down her fair face, to the elevator that is just opening.

"Darien, why are you so mean to her ?  It's not like she ever did anything to you.  Sooner or later his has got to stop!"  cries Lita, appalled at the spectacle she has just witnessed.

"One of these says, she is going to seriously hurt herself, and I am not going to be around to help her.  She is such a klutz; she should have grown up by now.  Serena is such a crybaby!"  Darien turned and walked away in a huff.

"I don't understand why you are still friends with her.  She is so elementary.  See ya around you guys.  Unlike you I have to get back to school.  I don't get days off to take pictures, and prepare for the end of the year presentation." he shouted over his shoulder as he went to wait for the elevator.  Ami and Lita looked away in disgust to see Serena running as fast as she could from the Tower.

"I don't understand why all of a sudden he is so mean to her?  Can't he at lest treat her like a human being?"  Lita listened to Ami attentively as she spoke.  Smashing her fist into her hand she replied harshly.

"I would like to give Darien a piece of my mind.  He says he has to stay away from her for her safety, but being horribly mean to her is not the way to do it.  He stayed away one and it almost really cost her her life.  Darien should have been there when Serena was fighting Dalin, she couldn't do it by her self."

"I totally agree with you Lita, he almost killed her.  Serena spent almost two weeks in the hospital for that one.  After all the times Serena has risked her life for Darien, the least little thing he could do is just treat her with a little kindness.  It is almost like he doesn't love her anymore." , replied Ami as the two girls walk over to the elevator.

"If they never want to be around each other ever again then poor Rini's future hangs in the balance."

"I never thought of it that way.  Oh, Lita, we have to get the two of them back together.  If not for their sake for Rini's."

"Ami, we better book it if we want to get these pictures developed, and meet Mina and Rei at the ice cream parlor, come on!"  Lita gently tugs at Ami's sleeve.  Taking one last glance over the edge, Ami wonders if she can run after Serena or if it is to late.

"AMI!" a voice beacons her back to the  elevator.

      "What about Serena?"

"She knows when and where.  If she doesn't show up before long we will go look for her. Ami I promise."

      "I hope you are right."

            ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Serena ran until her little heart beat out of her chest, and her lungs heaved for air.

I need to talk to some one, but who will listen?  Am I really that much of a crybaby and klutz?  Why is Darien still being so mean to me?  Oh, how I miss him!  Serena sobs started like a torrent again, but this time she didn't want to subdue them.  She was so engrossed in her emotions, she never felt the weight of a hand on her petite shoulder until she heard the voice that was attached to that arm.

"Rough day, Serena?  You want to talk about it?"  She looked up to look at her good friend, Andrew, and realized she was standing right in front of the Crown Game Center and Ice Cream Parlor where he worked.

"Will a Hot fudge Sunday make you feel better?" Andrew asked as a wirely smile spread across his face.

"Extra whipped cream?"  Serena asked as she dried her tears and strained to smile.

"Of course!  See, I knew I could make you smile.  Now why don't you come inside and talk about it, hum?" asked Andrew, as he opened the door.  "Maybe it will make you feel better to vent about it for a little while."

A quaint, but real smile spread across Serena's face.  He always knows exactly what to say at exactly the right time.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

"She has what!!!" yelled the Wiseman to Empherius. "Your supposed to tracking her and you let the Princess get away!  If she gets back to the Rabbit and tell her what's going on, the Sailor Scouts are sure to come back.  They thought they defeated us, but the battle has only begun.  Go, follow the Princess, and when you find her, exterminate her!  If she went then that means Sailor Sun is with her. That wretched Sailor brat!  We had her on our side once, but the power of the Moon kingdom was to strong.  The little traitor.  In my opinion if the Negaverse can't have Sailor Sun than no one can!"  The Wiseman was not just flustered like the last time Empherius messed up, this time he was angry.  How could this happen?  I trained him myself to do my bidding.  He will not fail me a second time!

"Yes, Wiseman.  I will find the Princess and eradicate the little pest the first chance I get.  While I am at it, I'll get rid of Sailor Sun, too.  She is no use to us now."  retorted Empherius.  "I will not fail you again."

"Good. Now go!"  suddenly, with the force of a typhoon, a hole opened in the middle of the dull, gray, stone floor.  Empherius grabbed his sword, and quickly dropped into the inter-dimensional time warp after the fleeing Princess.

You will not fail me this time Empherius, because it you do it will be the last thing you ever do!

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

A tall redheaded girl entered the room with a shy type look on her face.  She immediately caught Darien's eye.  Definitely not from around here.  She looks so lost, but so familiar.

"Class, I would like you to meet Adana Masters, the newest student at Azabu High.  I hope you will all introduce yourselves to her after class.  Now, Adana, if you will take the seat to the right of Darien over there in the third row, we can get the class started." Hirayama-san said.  Slowly, but with the poise of the most graceful princess, Adana walked over to her desk.  A smile spread across her face when she noticed everyone else was smiling and nodding as to say 'hello' as she walked to her seat.  As she sat down she glanced over at the new face to her left.  As she did, that face winked back.  Being here is going to be a lot harder than I thought. Darien was instantly awestruck with her.  She is so familiar to me.  I feel like we have met before.  She blushed a little and started fidgeting a little with the chain around her neck.  The pendant sparkled in the sunlight that was streaming through the window, flashing prismatic patterns across Darien's face.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

The hot fudge Sunday was just what Serena needed to make her feel better. Maybe I will just give up on him.  I know it is my destiny, but the future isn't set in stone.  It just like everything else is subject to change. Isn't it?

"How is the Sunday?  Make you feel any better?"  Andrew didn't know what to say.  He knew Serena was upset over Darien, but what could he do?  Darien is his best friend, but Serena was like a little sister.  He couldn't betray either of their trust.  "If you feel like talking about it don't hesitate to come and get me, OK?  I have to get back to work, but you always know where I am." Andrew stood up to leave, picking up Serena's empty dish as he did.

"Thanks Andrew. I can always count on you to make me feel better." Serena said quietly.

"Anytime Serena.  Anytime."  A solitary tear ran down her cheek as she buried her face in her hands. Why does he jerk her around on a chain like he does?  If he doesn't like her why doesn't he just say so instead of hurting the poor girl so bad.  If I really was Serena's brother and not Darien's best friend I would have decked him long ago!

Out of the corner of his eye, Andrew caught some thing.  That thing was more like four girls by the names of Ami, Rei, Lita, and Mina, entering his establishment.

"Hey, Girls!  How has the work on all of your end of the year projects been coming?" asked Andrew , smile spreading across his face. They all seemed a little preoccupied except for Ami.

"Quite well Serena, Lita, and I went to take pictures of the skylin..."

"Andrew, have you seen Serena?  We have searched all over for her, and we can't find her anywhere?" Rei interrupted.  Andrew did not have to say a word.  He just pointed into the same general direction that he had just come from, where Serena still sat.  Rei immediately ran over to where Serena sat, quite relieved that they had finally found her.

"We have been searching all over for you.  Ami got really worried when you did not meet up with us at the burger place.  Have you been here the whole time?  I knew we should have checked here first.  If you ever need to find Serena she will most likely be at the arcade, but does anyone ever listen to me. NO!"

"Don't have a spaz Rei.  Poor Serena is at her wits ends, and all you can so is put her under the inquisition.  You should not let it get to you, Serena.  There are more fish in the sea.  Like those cute ones that are looking at us from the other side of the room.  Maybe one of them will keep your mind off Darien.  Maybe right now it would be best if you two were just friends."  suggested Mina as she winked to the really cute blond guy at the other end of the room.

"Yeah, there are more fish in the sea." she said dreamily as she caught his eye.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Class ended, and Adana was trying to high-tail it to the door when she felt a warm touch on her arm.

"Hi, Adana.  I'm Darien.  Need some help with those?"  he asked pointing to her armload of books.  His dark hair was perfect, smile so warm and inviting, and his eyes sparkled like stars.

"Yes. Thank you." Adana replied as he took the books from her.  "I'm sorry if I seem uninviting.  I just moved here from Los Angeles, and don't know anyone here.  I'm glad you stopped me.  Thank you for introducing yourself.  Goodness I feel stupid." Darien started to laugh, while a sheepish smile spread across Adana's face.

"Don't worry.  We will all feel as you do at one point in time in our lives.  You want me to walk you home?" Darien immediately took a liking to her.  She seems so familiar?  I've got that strange feeling again.  The same one I get in my dreams.

"That would be wonderful!  I could use the company.  Could we stop by the market first?  I need to pick up something for dinner, if you don't mind." Darien opened the door for Adana as they exited school.

" I have a better idea.  Why don't I walk you home, and you can come over to my apartment for dinner.  Have you seen much of the city?  After dinner we can take a short tour of Tokyo if you like." Darien asked as they turned the corner.

"I haven't seen much of the city yet.  I just moved in a couple days ago.  I'm still practically living out of boxes!  Dinner at your place sounds great.  Will your parents mind?" Adana asked in her usual sweet tone of voice.  Darien's mood quickly changed to a defensive tone, like he was hiding some thing.  Come on Mom and Dad!  Let's go for a drive!

"No.  There not home, so they shouldn't mind.  Afterwards we can go for a tour of the city.  There is so much to see and do here that I don't think I've done it all!"  Both exploded into a fit of laughter.  I'm really going to like him, Adana thought to herself.  They rounded another corner, when Adana suddenly stopped in front of the Infinity Tower.

"This is my stop.  So, what time should I be over for dinner?"  asked Adana.

"Around 7:30, is that OK?" answered Darien as he rummaged through his briefcase for a business card with his address on it, and gave it to Adana.

"Great.  That will give me just enough time for me to take a shower, and get out of this school uniform.  We had uniforms at home, but they were nothing like this!"  she said while straitening out the pleats of her short sailor suit looking uniform skirt.

"Not many people can look good in them, but you can pull it of quite nicely." complemented Darien.  Adana blushed.  She could feel her face turn bright pink.

"I better let you get going if you are going to get home before I get there."  Darien wasn't paying attention.  He was to busy gazing at her necklace.  The Dark Sailor Scout in my dreams that keeps fighting me has a necklace just like that one.  Could she be from the Negaverse?  Why do I keep kidding myself.  Lots of people have diamond necklaces just like that.  She is rich.  Her father probably gave it to her as a going away gift or something.  I'm just getting to paranoid.

"Hello.  Earth to Darien.  Can I have my books back?"  Darien snapped out of his daydream to realize that Adana was talking to him.

"I know you are having fun and all standing here on my stoop, but you have to go home some day.  Don't tell me you are going to stand here all day.  I might just have to go over to your place and eat by myself." Adana said with her ever pleasing smile.

"No. You're  right.  Here are your books.  I better get home and change myself before you come.  See ya at 7:30!  Bye!"  Darien turned and started to head down the street to his place.  His heart beating out of his chest with joy.  I haven't been this happy since I was dating Serena.  Maybe this is the best.  Maybe we should just see other people, and just be friends.

"Bye!" Adana waved as she heart beat out of her chest.  I am really going to like it here in this prehistoric Tokyo.  To bad I will only be here for a short period of time.  Now to find the Imperium Silver crystal and Rini.  When I find those, I'll be set.

The tall blond Mina had been eyeing was now coming over to the table that the five girls were sitting at.  Oh my gosh!!  He is so cute, and he coming over here to talk to us!!  Mina thought to herself.  When he arrived, he made eye contact with Mina first, and then addressed the whole group.

"My friends and I were wondering if you would like to join us for a soda?"  He gestured over to the table from whence he came, and his friends waved.  The girls were to dumbfounded to speak so Mina decided to answer for them.

"My friends and I would love to join you for a soda.  Wouldn't we girls?" questioned Mina

"You guys go right on ahead I have to get back to the temple and help Grandpa.  There has been a lot to do around there lately, and I'm way far behind.  Anyway Chad and I are going to the movies this evening, and I want to get everything done before we go." sighed Rei as she picked up her purse to leave.

"Yes.  I better get going to.  I have my computer class in about an hour and I hate it so much to be late.  I'll walk with you Rei.  The temple is right on my way, "Ami said as she handed the camera over to Lita.  They pair turned and headed for the door.

"Bye!  Don't work to hard!" Lita called after them.  "Well, we shouldn't keep you friends waiting.  I hate to keep people waiting  Don't you?" The girls rose up out of the booth, but Serena stayed planted.

"Come on Serena.  You have to get over him some day.  Maybe it's just best if you two just see other people."

"Mina's right.  It would be better for you if you just saw other people.  This time maybe you can make him jealous and upset, just like he is making you!  And get to know someone else in the process." Lita pointed out as she gracefully rose from her seat.

"You are right.  It's through between up and I need someone that will make me happy, not upset all the time."

"Well come on then.  Let go meet some guys!"  exclaimed Mina.

"Right!" shouted Lita and Serena.  They walked over to the table where there new found guys were.  The young men were instantly on their feet and waiting for the girls to sit down in the booth.

"Sorry to keep you waiting.  These are my friends Lita, and Serena.  I'm Mina.  It's very nice that you invited us over for a soda."  Mina said in a cordial tone of voice.  She tired to stay as calm as possible on the outside, while her insides were doing the twist to the beating of her heart.

"Nice to meet you all.  I'm Sean.  That guy over there is Lucas, and the guy with his nose buried in the book to my left is.."  Sean was interrupted by his book worm friend who looked up from his novel.

"Hi! My name is Devin.  Nice to meet you."  His gaze moved to Lita. " Don't you live in the Infinity Building apartment high-rise?  I think I see you some times when I walk home from school."

"Yeah, I do.  Now I recognize you!  You're the one that always has the arm full of books, but can still wave to a stranger.  What a small world!"  Lita was shocked.  Ever since she had moved in to her new apartment, she passed by the same cut guy on her way home from school.  Now she knew who she was.   I can't believe this!  The guy I had a crush on for so long actually invited me over for a soda!  This is way cool!  I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. Calm yourself ,Lita.  If you seem to excited you will turn him off.

"What a strange coincidence, to meet up in the ice cream shop like this."  ascertained Mina.

"I've never seen you around here before, Sean.  Are you new to the city?"  Mina asked as she opened up the menu to order the shake she wanted.  So many choices, such little time.

"No.  Actually, I've lived in Tokyo all my life.  I never really get out much now that I am in High School and transferred." Sean said as Lizzie came to take their orders.

"What do you mean transferred?" asked Serena, now looking happy and lively.  Mina and Lita noticed this and both smiled at the improvement in Serena's mood.

"Now I go to Azabu High School instead of public school."  quipped Sean.

"In actuality, we all go there now.  I transferred in from Yakana Boys School last year.  Devin has always been in private school, so this is old hat to him." Serena was intrigued.  Darien goes to Azubu.  I wonder if they know him?

"You guys go to Azubu?  Do you know a guy by the name of Darien?  He is a senior this year."  Serena hoped they did not know him, but she ventured to ask anyway.

"I know him," replied Lucas, "He is in my Calculus class.  I don't know him, but if walked down the street, I would at least say hi."  Lucas smile at Serena.  Serena blushed.  He is so cute, and so much kinder than Darien.  I wonder if I dated him if I could make Darien jealous like he trying to make me.  Two could play this game.

Time passed by so fast when they were talking, laughing, and having fun.  Before they knew it, They had spent hours with Lucas, Sean and Devin. Lita looked down at her watch and was the first one to notice the time.

"I don't mean to leave so abruptly, but I have to go home and make dinner and do my homework from today.  It was nice meeting you all.  Hope we can get together again sometime!"

"Yeah I better get going too.  Serena and I were going to go to the park with her cousin Rini for the evening. Lita promised to make up a picnic dinner for my friends and I.  Girl's night out thing, you know!" Mina got up and gestured to Serena to do the same.

"Yeah we really must get going.  Nice meeting you all."  Serena started to walk to the door.

"If you and your friends aren't doing anything tomorrow, would you like to go to the movies or something?"  Lucas asked with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.

"That sounds great!  Don't you think?" asked Serena.  Mina and Lita nodded yes in reply.

"It's a date then!  See you guys a the theater down the street about 1:00 tomorrow, OK?" asked Lita.

"Perfect." replied Sean as they parted ways.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

When he got outside, Sean started to go over the events in his head.  Acting like the teenagers that the Princess and Queen are at this point in time will make it easier to find them. As soon as I have made contact with Queen, it will be easier to find the Princess.  Where there is one, there will be the other.  I will not fail.  I will attack tomorrow evening so I can flush out The Princess and the Rabbit.  The Wiseman will be so proud of me when I return with both the Princess and the Rabbit!  Suddenly, a young woman with long Irish red hair bumped into him.  She looked up, and gasped.

"Sorry, I bumped into you.  I hope I didn't hurt you!"  replied Adana.

"No, no problem at all.  My fault.  I should have been watching where I was going." replied Sean.  Where have I seen that necklace before?  Before he could get a closer look the beautiful redhead was on her way down the street, the short bottoms of her floral romper flowing in the wind behind her.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Adana waited for the elevator in the lobby.  Darien is so nice.  He is going to be such a help by showing me around Tokyo.  Now I won't need to look out the lay out on the moon's host computer, I can experience it myself. The elevator arrived and she mashed the button for the Eighth floor.  I bet you can see the whole city from up there. The elevator dinged and she started to walk down the hall.  When she reached Darien's door, she took of her shoes and noticed that the door was already open.  She peered around the corner and saw no one.

"Hello!  Is anyone here?  Darien?"  Adana asked as she entered the apartment.

"Come on in Adana.  I saw you coming through the window, so"  Darien walked out of his bedroom while adjusting his khaki jacket as he came, " I left the door open for you while I changed.  You look beautiful Adana.  Did you do your hair yourself?"  Adana nodded yes in reply. "Having your hair half in braids and half down makes you look even more elegant."

"You look quite handsome yourself.  Khaki is really your colour."  Darien was wearing (along with the khaki jacket) matching slacks and a black T-shirt underneath.

"Mmmm.  Dinner smells wonderful.  What are we having?"  Adana asked as Darien went into the kitchen.

"Calamari for starters.  And for the main course, I've prepared Fetachini with Clam sauce and White Zinfandel to compliment it all.  Is that OK?  I wasn't sure if you liked seafood, but I thought that since you came from the west coast you probably ate seafood since it is in abundance."

"Sounds delicious.  I love seafood."  Adana wondered out onto the balcony, because the door was open.  What a perfect day.  The breeze off the harbor, the sun just beginning to set, wonderful food, Darien.  My life is so perfect.  I wish it could stay this way forever.  I wish I didn't have to go back.  I wish I would have lived to see this.  Tokyo is so beautiful!

Darien looked up from the glasses of wine he just poured.  He glanced at Adana on the balcony, her long white blond hair blowing gently in the wind.  His heart skipped a beat at the beauty that was on the balcony.  I am so lucky.  Her first real day here, and she is standing on MY balcony looking like a Princess.  She is so beautiful.  On his way over to the balcony, Darien knelt down at the table, lit two pure white candles, and adjusted the silverware on the table.  He then got up and proceeded to the balcony.  He stepped out and put his arms around Adana's waist.

"Isn't the view beautiful from up here?"  asked Darien.  Adana reached up her hands and placed them on the hands that were already around her waist.

"The view of the harbor is spectacular.  I love the ocean.  I love it so much that I came to Tokyo on a freighter.  That's how I got my Jeep and every thing over here.  My father didn't like the idea, but I'm on my own now.  I don't have to answer to him anymore."  She dropped her hands to turn around and face Darien. "You don't understand.  Both of your parents are still around.  My Mother died when I was little and my Father never had time for me.  His business was more important than I was.  So when I asked to move to Tokyo, you want know what he said?  He said 'Now I have someone to watch over operations in Japan.  Instead of giving you a living allowance, I'll make you vice-president in charge of East Asian affairs.'  All he can think about is his corporation, not anyone else.  I'm glad I met you Darien.  For the first time in my life I feel like someone cares for who I am, not what I can do for them."  Darien's face fell.  "Darien, what's wrong?"

"I do know how you feel.  My parents died in a car wreck when I was 5.  I was the only one that survived.  I didn't remember anything.  Not even my name.  I also know what it is like to feel like you are alone in the world.  I am alone in the world."  Darien looked at Adana.  She looked back with compassion in her eyes.

"Darien, I'm so sorry I didn't know.  Please forgive me.  When you said your parents wouldn't mind having me over for dinner I just assumed that they were just out of town, not dead." explicated Adana.

"It's not your fault.  I should have just been honest with you from the beginning.  It's really my fault."  He smiled down at Adana who was looking at her feet.

"Well, enough of the sad things.  Let's eat!  We still have a city to explore before the night is over.  Tokyo is prettiest at night with all the lights and activity.  Maybe we can even make it to Tokyo tower before it closes." Darien offered Adana his arm, and she gladly took it. "This way madam."

      "But of course!" Adana giggled.

Dinner was spectacular.  Darien and Adana discussed everything from school to the weather to sports.  After dinner they decided to go for a walk in the park.  They walked hand in hand for what seemed like hours.

"You want to rent a boat and take a tour of the park by means of the pond before we head up to Tokyo Tower?" asked Darien.

"That would be lovely." replied Adana.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

The sunset was beautiful in the park as the girls finished their dinner.  Rini was talking about her and Luna's day in the park and of all the fun they had wondering around the city.  Rei was listening intently, but the rest of the girls were gazing at the new coming stars.

"I wonder what is beyond those stars.  Are there more people like us?  Is there more enemies like the Negaverse?  Is there another place like Earth?"  asked Serena as she laid back on the hill the girls were sitting on by the pond.

"Who knows.  We may never know the only thing we can so is wonder." replied Lita, "Hey!  There is a shooting star!  OK, everyone make a wish."  Serena closed her eyes.  She wished that they would soon defeat the Negaverse and the fight would be over.  All she wanted was peace for her kingdom.  She opened her eyes just in tine to see a couple in a boat rowing across the pond.

"Serena, isn't that Darien.  If it's not, that guy sure looks like him."  questions Mina.  The friends lean up from their reclined positions to see a row boat float across the water.  They all notice that the guy in the boat has a striking resemblance to Darien, but they didn't recognize the girl. Mina, Lita, and Serena looked back out at the couple.  They kissed and seemed quite happy

"Kind of reminds me of the guys we met today.  They are so dreamy aren't they?" asked Mina.

"Um Hum." replied Lita and Serena.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

"Oh, Darien.  This is so perfect.  The moon light, the water, you. It is all like a dream."  Darien stopped rowing.  Adana glanced at the shore.

"Call me crazy, but are those girls on the shore looking at us?"  Adana asked quizzically.

"They are.  Oh well, they can't recognize us from there."  With that Darien leaned over and kissed Adana's soft pink lips.   Darien looked up to see Adana's perfect smile shine with all its splendor.  He leaned back to where the oars were and started to paddle their way back to the docks.

"Do you still want to go to Tokyo Tower?  We can get there before it closes at 10:00 if  you still want to.  Then we can wonder around the city for a while.  It's great.  On the weekends the city doesn't rest until at least 4:00 in the morning."  Darien was smiling at Adana.  She was smiling too.  Adana looked up at the sky and sighed.  Her necklace caught the moonlight and sparkled with the splendor of the Imperium Silver Crystal.

"Darien, you are about to bump into the dock."  Adana pulled Darien out of his revelry.

"Are you, OK?  You seem to be spacing out so easily.  Is this normal or should I be getting worried?"

"No, I've just been thinking to much, that's all.  Nothing to be worried about."  Darien pulled the row boat up to the dock and got out.  Adana went to stand up and Darien swiftly picked her up out of the boat.  They stood there holding each other and gazing into the other's eyes.

"I've never been so...."  started Adana, but she never finished because Darien leaned down and kissed her again.

"Now how about that trip to Tokyo Tower you promised me." Adana said.  Darien laughed.

"I promised didn't I?  Well a promise is a promise, so let's get going before the tower closes." and off they went, arms around each other, to the tower.

When they reached Tokyo Tower,  Darien led Adana directly to the observation deck.   She walked over to the edge, and looked out over the still bustling city.  That is when she noticed it.  The strange crystal looking tower hovering over a near by building.  That is from the Dark Moon of the Negaverse!  Whoever is in it must have followed me here, and is after my piece of the crystal.  I have to check it out.  Darien came up behind her, and started to aim his arm out to the city.

"You can see almost the whole city from here.  Over there is..." started Darien.  Adana suddenly turned around, grabbed his arm, and looked up at him.

"Darien, I have to go home.  I forgot that I promised my Dad that I would call him before he left for the office at six.  I am so sorry.  Maybe we can come back some time.  Is that OK?"  Adana looked upset.

"It's not a problem Adana.  Your family is important, and I admire that.  Sure, I'll walk you home.  The Tower closes in 10 minutes any way."  Adana started for the elevator when Darien noticed the crystal tower suspended in the air close by.  That looks like Rubeus's tower.  I have to alert the Sailor Scouts.

When Adana reached her apartment, she grabbed her sword and her transformer.  She trust the transforming brooch high in the air and yelled, "Moon Crystal Power!" and transformed into her Sailor Suit.  Now her suit of a black and silver appeared.  Her red hair turned white and swept into little heart meatballs and tails with little wisps framing her face and her silver tiara appeared.  When her transformation was complete, she put the sword into the bow and it disappeared.  She opened up the brooch and a face appeared.

"I'm so glad you decided to call Sailor Sun, we have been quite worried about you.  Have you found the crystal and Rini yet?" asked her counter part, Sailor Pluto.

"Not yet.  I haven't had much time to look.  I've been a little busy getting settled in and everything.  I don't want to draw to much attention to myself while I'm here."  quipped Sailor Sun.

      "We all know you thrive

on attention, Sun.  You better get moving.  If you don't find Sailor Moon and the Imperium Silver Crystal, your time will be even shorter than expected."  explained Sailor Pluto.

"I know.  The reason I called is because I need to ask you a question, Pluto.  Has anyone broken the time barrier besides me?" Sailor Sun asked in a worried tone of voice.

      "What's it worth to you?"

"Pluto!  This isn't funny!  My life is at stake here!  Has anyone broken the time barrier?" Sailor Sun was getting peeved.

"Yes, Sailor Sun, the Nega-Moon has.  Empherius to be exact.  I could do nothing to stop him.  The Nega-Moon energy was more than I could handle."  Sailor Pluto answered with a sigh.

"Great! I've been followed!  Now it will complicate things even more than they already are.  Thanks Sailor Pluto.  Talk to you later."

"Don't take to long.  Remember, find Rini and get the time key or else you are stuck.  Stay safe."  Sailor Sun snapped the brooch closed.

"Well, here goes nothing!" Sailor Sun crouched down to the ground, leapt up, and disappeared.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Empherius looked out over the Tokyo of the past.

"I will find you Princess.  Mark my words.  I will find you, Sailor Sun, and the pesky Rabbit to!" Empherius said as he clenched his fists.  I destroyed you once, and I will do it again!

"Moving words, Empherius.  I'll remember them when I annihilate you!"  Empherius turned around to see the black suited Sailor Sun, his ultimate nemesis, leaning nonchalantly against a wall on the roof top.  "I thought you would be home licking your wounds from the last skirmish we had.  You are a fast healer, but you won't be so lucky this time!" said Sailor Sun with all the confidence in the world.  That's right Empherius.  We are on neutral territory now.  Neither of us has the upper hand.

"This does not concern you.  I'm here after the Princess, not you."  Empherius was angry.  Now I have another obstacle in my path.  I really didn't need this pesky Sailor Scout to complicate my plans.

"You won't find her here.  Why even look?  You are just wasting your time.  It's a big city you know."

"Why would you be here if the Princess wasn't?  You're her body guard, and I know what she is after.  She needs the Crystal from here to recharge her piece of the Crystal or else she will die.  You see, when the Wiseman reincarnated her body, he made her depend on the Crystal to control her.  He didn't quite succeed, but that is her Achilles Heel.   When I find the Crystal, I will find the Princess.  Or I could just wait and make sure she never finds it.  Then she will die and the last hope for Crystal Tokyo with her.  Ha, ha, ha!  And there is nothing you can do about it Sailor Sun.  Absolutely nothing!"  Empherius laughed.  The blood boiled in Sailor Sun's veins.  The crystal on her choker flashed.

"You will never get away with it, Empherius.  Not as long as I am alive!" shouted Sailor Sun.

"That can be arranged!" he replied.  Within the blink of an eye both of them had drawn their swords and were poised for battle.  The clash had started.  Empherius and Sailor Sun lunged at each other, the tang of steel ringing through the still night air.  They stood there for a moment, blade against blade.  Then Sailor Sun let out a grunt and started after Empherius.  Suddenly, five people appeared out of nowhere at the top of the fire escape.

"We've got you now, Nega-trash.  You are no match for my thunder and lightning!  I am Sailor Jupiter!" cried Sailor Jupiter.

"If it were up to me, I would put you on ice.  I am Sailor Mercury!" exclaimed Mercury.

"Good looks aren't everything.  Behind this pretty face is one strong punch.  I am Sailor Venus!" quipped Venus.

"With my Celestial Fire Surround, I am one hot character.  I am Sailor Mars!"

"I hate having fun interrupted especially by the Negaverse.  I am Sailor Moon and in the name of the moon I will punish you!"

"I see you have found the reinforcements already.  I will save this for later.  See ya round Sailor Brats!" Empherius yelled as he and his crystal tower disappeared.

The Sailor Scouts just stood there dumbfounded.  Was that another Sailor Scout standing in front of them? Who was this new Sailor?  Is she from here or the future?

Maybe Rini or Luna knows something about her.  Sailor Sun shook her head in disgust.

She placed her sword back in it's sheath behind her bow, and it disappeared.

"I was not counting in you guys appearing.  Let's get one thing straight right now.  You stay out of my way, and I'll stay our of yours.  Empherius is mine, so butt out!"  Sailor Sun yelled at the Sailor Scouts.  She turned to leave.

"Wait a minute!  Are you our friend or our enemy?"  asked Sailor Moon.

"It matters.  I will tell you when I'm good and ready.  If not, you will have to find out for yourself.  I'm outta here."  Sailor Sun crouched low to the ground, leapt up and was gone.

"Sailor Moon!  Are you all right?" Tuxedo Mask called from the other end of the high-rise.

"Who was that Sailor Scout?"  She is the same one in that is in my dreams haunting me night after night.

"I don't know.  I just don't know." replied Sailor Moon.  "Maybe Rini or Luna knows something about her."

"Well the only thing we can do is ask now can't we.  We shouldn't be left in the dark.  If she is our enemy in the future, we should know." said Tuxedo Mask.

"But if she is our enemy, why was she fighting someone from the Nega-Moon?  Wouldn't that make her part of the Negaverse too?"  questioned Sailor Venus.

"There is only one way to find out."

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Sailor Sun stood on top of the Infinity Building looking out over the city.  It's a big city.  I'll never find Rini if I just start searching.  Then an idea struck Sailor Sun.  She pulled out her transformation brooch and opened it up.  She called for Sailor Pluto again, and her image appeared.

"Calling again so soon?  Have you found the Crystal?"  asked Pluto in an astonished tone of voice.

"I need another favor.  Could you log into the host computer and send me the coordinates of the time key?  I need to find Rini and fast!  There has been a little problem and I need her to help me fix it."  Sailor Sun looked anxious.

"Now she realizes there is an easier way of locating Rini and the crystal.  What happened that could be so drastic?"

"The Sailor Scouts of the past are getting in my way.  I need the crystal from Sailor Moon, but I need her to butt-out of my affairs with Empherius.  Secrecy is of the utmost importance.  Please, Sailor Pluto, I need your help!"

"OK!  OK!  Don't get your bloomers in a wad.  I'll log on and send you the coordinates. Catch you later!"  Sailor Pluto waved.

"Thanks so much."  Sailor Pluto's image vanished and a map of Tokyo appeared in the brooch.  A flashing red light appeared about ten blocks away in the residential district.

"I've got you now sweetheart.  Now I just have to act."

Sailor Sun appeared at the opened window of the room where the sleeping Rini lay.  She looks so peaceful.  If only she knew what was going on in the future.  She would never want to go back.  She crawled through the window and sat down next to the young girl.

"Rini sweetie time to wake up."  Sailor Sun stroked her hair. and smiled.

"It's to early Sere... Sailor Sun!  What are you doing here!  Is everything all right in the future?"  Rini was wide awake and hugging Sailor Sun around the neck.  "How are my Mommy and Daddy?  The rest of my family?  The Sailor Scouts?  Oh tell me!  Tell me, Sailor Sun!  Please!"  Rini was too excited.

""Rini if you aren't quiet you will wake the whole house!  Everyone is just fine, but I need you to do me a favor, Little One.  If Sailor Moon or any of the other Sailor Scouts ask about me, tell them you know nothing about me.  This is very important, so will you help me?"  Sailor Sun was holding Rini in her lap and talking very softly to her.

"I promise.  What is the big secret?  Are you in trouble?"  Rini questioned.

"I have been followed by bad man from the Negaverse that wants to destroy the Tokyo of the past.  Now he is after me, and if the Sailor Scouts get involved, I'm afraid they will get hurt and we will be in more danger than we were before."  Sailor Sun got up and crawled onto the window still.  She turned back to Rini who was settling back into bed.  "Don't worry.  I'll be back before I leave.  That is a promise, and you know I never break a promise."  She leaped out the window.  I will be back Rini even if all it is for is to get the time key.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Lita walked into the lobby of the Infinity Building Apartment high-rise, and ran over to the elevator door that was now closing.  She got in just in the nick of time.  A friendly face looked back at her.

      "What floor?"  the girl asked.

      "Fourteen, please."  answered Lita.

"What a coincidence.  I live on the Fourteenth floor too!  My name is Adana Masters.  I just moved here from California."  Adana smiled.

"I'm Lita.  Nice to meet you.  So you are the girl that just moved into 1420, huh?  I'm your nextdoor neighbor.  I live in 1419."  The elevator dinged and the girls got out and started to walk towards their respective apartments.  Lita stopped at her door.

"Would you like to come over for breakfast in the morning?  Then we could get together and get to know each other better." Lita asked with a smile.  Adana stopped in the hall.

"I hope it won't be too much trouble.  I don't want to put you out on my account." Lita giggled.

"Not a problem at all!  It would be my pleasure.  I love to cook, so this will give me the perfect excuse.  How does 9:00 sound?"

"Sounds wonderful.  Thank you."  Adana smiled and opened her door.  "Good night."

"See ya later!"  Lita waved as she entered her apartment.

What a day!  I meet a really dreamy guy, almost got trashed by a new Sailor, and met my new nextdoor neighbor.  Lita walked into her room and plopped down on the bed.  Now it is just time to slee....  Before she could finish her train of thought she was sound asleep and dreaming of her encounter with the new Sailor.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Everything had been quiet in Tokyo for weeks and Tuxedo Mask had started to like it this way.  He didn't like being haunted by the Nega-Moon at every turn.  He put up his cape and hat and sat back in a chair.  That new Sailor is the one out of my dreams.  She keeps telling me she is not our enemy, but I'm always fighting her! And that Sailor suit!  All black except for the silver edging at the edge of the skirt and collar!  Even her choker is black! She was fighting the guy from the Nega-Moon too.  It's all to weird.  At least when I'm with Adana all my problems and cares go away.  Maybe I'll pay her a visit tomorrow after I have a talk with Serena.  Darien walked over to the balcony and closed the door.  He stood there for a moment, and let out a sigh.  He hung his head low and thought of his parents.  All you are now is just painful memories.  Now all I have is my real past.  The one where it was just the Moon Princess and I.  Not the one I have now.  Maybe it was just meant to be this way.  Yes, it is just better this way.

"I better just go to bed and worry about it tomorrow when I'm not as tired."  said Darien as he walked over to his room, and shut the door.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

"Luna it was just to weird.  It was like she was poised to attack us.  She also knew who we were.  She must be one of us.  It is the only explanation."  Serena was sitting on her bed in her pajamas, looking out the window onto the new day.  Rini stirred and woke up.  She sat up and rubbed her eyes.  What time is it?  Oh, Serena, you are back!  How did it go last night?"  asked Rini as she pulled back the covers, and sat on the edge of the bed next to Serena.

"Rini, I have a very important question to ask you.  Do you know anything about the other Sailor Scouts of the future?"  Serena asked Rini.

"Sure.  What do you want to know."

"Do you know anything about a Scout that has a pure black uniform?  Instead of it having a different colour for the collar, skirt, gloves, and bow it is just all black. The edging is silver, and she carries a long sword.  We asked her if she was a friend and she told us it matters.  Do you know anything about her? " Serena was anxious.  Rini twisted her hands and looked at the floor.  I can't betray Sailor Sun.  When she wants the Sailor Scouts to know who she is she will reveal herself.

"I don't know a Sailor Scout like that.  Are you sure she is from the future?" asked Rini.

"She is definitely not from the present or the past.  I don't recognize her from anywhere.  Do you know who she is Luna?"  Serena watched as Luna leaped off the bed.

"While you are at the movies this afternoon I will go to the computer and look this new Sailor up in the moon's database.  Present and future.  Is that OK with you Serena?  Will that calm your curiosity?"  Luna wandered towards the door.  "You have an engagement in about 3 hours at the movie theater with a nice young man so I suggest you get dressed and get ready to go!  You've been up for an hour already and you aren't dressed."

"You have a date Serena?  With who? Oh I want to know the scoop!!" exclaimed Rini.  She was so excited that she was bouncing up and down on the bed.

"All right Rini!  All right!  His name is Lucas, and he goes to Azabu High.  He knows Darien too."  Serena walked over to her closet.  "Rini, will you help me pick out an outfit?  I want to look just perfect."

"I think you really like him.  Is he cute?"  Rini pulled a out a short pink sundress with spaghetti straps.  "Here how about this?"  Rini held the dress out for Serena's approval.

"Perfect.  I'll wear it with my pink flats, and my flower earrings. I think I even have a shade of lipstick to match.  Oh I'm so excited!!!"

Rini helped Serena get ready.  When Serena was fully dressed, Rini nodded in approval.

"Serena!  Serena! Someone is here to see you!" Serena's mom yelled up to her.  Suddenly, Serena noticed someone knocking at her door.

"Come in!"  Serena called as she turned around, and gasped. Darien walked in the door and smiled.

"What are you doing here?  We are through, Darien.  Did you have to come to bury the hatchet once more?"  Serena's eyes welded up with tears as she sat down on her bed and hung her head low.  Darien sat down beside her and put his hand on Serena's shoulder.

"I'm sorry about the scene I made yesterday at the tower."

      "Really?" asked Serena.

"Really.  And I also came to make a suggestion.  Maybe it's best we see other people for a while.  I hope you understand."  Serena's eyes lit up.

"You know, I wanted to talk about that with you too.  I met this really nice guy yesterday, and you caught me on my way out on a date with him."

"Are you serious?  Now I feel a lot better.  Can we still at least be friends? I mean, just until we are ready to get back together."  Darien asked.

"That is a nice idea."  She leaned over and kissed Darien on the cheek.  "I think we can work this out."

"He must be really special."  Darien said quietly.

"Why do you say that,  Darien?  You were very special to me and you still are."  Serena consoled him

"The reason I say that is because you never wore make-up for me." Darien laughed out. Serena looked up to see Rini standing in front of them tapping her foot.

"You still haven't answered my question yet.  Is he cute, Serena, or what!?"  Serena couldn't respond, but the laughter that rang out from the three of them could be heard down the hall.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Lita got up at 8:00 and started to cook.  What would she like for breakfast?  I know I'll make my favorite, sausage, turkey bacon, and Belgian waffles with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.  Does Adana drink tea?  I'll just make some and we will find out won't we Lita.  When Lita was about through there was a knock the door.  She walked over to he door and realized something.  When she woke up this morning, she just put on a pair of jeans shorts and a T-shirt.  Nothing special to have a guest over in.  Oh well.  I have an excuse.  I've been cooking.  She w opened to door and saw Adana standing there with a basket in her hands.

"I didn't want to put you out to much so I made my favorite fresh cranberry-orange muffins." Lita ushered Adana in the door and closed it behind her.  She took the basket into the kitchen and began serving up breakfast.

"Do you live here by yourself, Lita?"  Adana asked as she wondered around looking at the pictures in the well kept living room.

"Yeah, I do.  My parents died a few years ago.  They weren't around much anyway.  Unfortunately I don't miss them.  How about you?  Are both your parents still alive or together?"  Asked Lita as she brought out the glasses of orange juice, and set them down on the table.

"I feel so crummy.  I just got up and dressed in my scrubbies.  After breakfast I decided to take my own tour of the city by means of a run.  This city is so much prettier than Los Angeles is.  We have this awful smog problem and pollution. Do you have any problems like that here in Tokyo?"  Lita motioned for her to sit down on the floor at the table.  "Wow!  This looks wonderful!"

"Thank you.  It was my pleasure.  I like to cook.  One day I hope I can open a restaurant, and have the excuse to cook all the time.  Cooking is so relaxing.  It's more like an art form to me than work." Lita dug into one of the muffins Adana brought over. "These are really good.  Where did you get the recipe?"

"It is one of the few things I can remember about my Mother.  She used to get up every Saturday and bake muffins for the family.  If you want the recipe, I could bring it over for you.  I'm not a very good cook, so you could probably make them better than I could.  These waffles are wonderful!"  The girls talked for a while.  They found out that they had so much in common.  After breakfast, Adana was helping Lita clear the dishes from the table and wash them when there came a knock at the door.

"I'll finish up here.  Go ahead and answer the door." Adana told Lita.

"Are you sure?"  Lita asked as she set down her towel.

"Sure.  I can do the dishes.  Go answer the door before whoever it is leaves." she said with a smile.  Lita walked to the door and it was already opened a crack.  Ami's bright smiling face was shining through the crack.

"Lita, Rei is going to have a fire reading on this new enemy from the Nega-Moon and this new Sailor."  Ami whispered.  She walked further in the door and say a girl, a little older than her and Lita, standing in the doorway to the kitchen. "Oh, I see you have company.  I'll leave you now to your company." said Ami as she walked towards the door.

"Don't go Ami!  Actually I want you to meet my new neighbor, Adana Masters.  She just moved her from Los Angeles, and goes to Azabu High School."  Adana smiled and held out her hand for Ami to shake.  She seems inviting enough.  I wonder if she knows Darien?   Adana started to walk towards the door.

"I'm sorry to leave so abruptly, but I noticed the time and I really must be going if I am going to get everything accomplished I want to today.  It was very nice meeting you Ami, and I hope I will see you again.  I cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes from breakfast, so you don't have to do them later.  Thank you for having me over for breakfast, Lita, but next time it is at my place!  See you around!"  Adana waved as she walked out the door and down the hall.

"She seems really nice.  She should make friends easily here.  I wonder if she would like to come with us some time.  Adana would probably like the company.  Serena had the crazy idea that we could all go to the amusement park tomorrow for the day so maybe we can invite her to go."  Ami walked to the living room with Lita and helped her pick up the last of the breakfast remnants.

"We better get going, or else we might be just as late as Serena always is."  Lita said as he and Ami walked to the door.  Ami chuckled.

"We wouldn't want that now would we. Race ya!"

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Darien was riding home on his motorcycle when he was stopped by a red light.  He glanced over to his right to see someone revving their engine on at him and he answered the call.  He lifted up the mask on his helmet and looked at the person next to him.  This is going to be fun.  I haven't raced anyone in what seems like years!  The light changed and off they went down the street.  Suddenly, the other rider made a sharp turn to the left, cutting Darien out.  So you want to play rough, huh?  Well watch this!  Darien revved up the juice.  But he still wasn't fast enough.  The other rider turned left right in from of him, cutting him off.  Wow! That is one hot little Yamaha.  Must be souped up.   Within a flash, Darien turned on the afterburner and put the pedal to the metal, but he was fighting a losing battle.  They made one more turn down towards the harbor, when his fellow racer started down the closest dock.  Darien stopped about half was down the dock.  His fellow racer kept going only to put his foot out and turn his bike around on his foot.  Amazed at the skill of his opponent, Darien parked his bike, took off his helmet, and started to walk towards the other motorcyclist.  The other motorcyclist got of his bike and started toward Darien.

"Great race," Adana said as she took off her helmet.  Darien gasped. "Darien."

"How ...were did you learn to ride like that?  That is totally awesome!  I have never met anyone how was that good."  Darien walked over and hugged Adana.

"Thank you Darien.  I was jogging past the dealership, saw it in the window and immediately fell in love with it.  I took it for a spin and I had to have it.  When I saw you on your bike, I knew you wouldn't notice it was me so I decided to challenge you.  The guy at the dealership called me a kamikaze driver, so have I lived up to his standards?

"You have more than lived up to that name.  I think we can safely say you are insane."  Adana and Darien laughed.  "Are you doing anything later."

"How much later is later?" Adana asked as a mischievous smile spread across her face.

"How about thirty seconds from now.  I know this quaint little theater that has quite a few movies playing today, and I would like to see if you are available to see the new romantic-comedy that is playing."  Said Darien as he walked Adana over to her bike.  Adana put on her helmet and pulled up the visor.

"That sounds lovely.  Race ya!!"  Adana was on her bike and revving the engine.  She speed off in a flash.  Darien ran to his bike and started it up.

      "That's not fair!!!"

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Serena, Lita, Mina, Ami, Rei, Greg, and Chad were standing outside the theater waiting when Sean, Lucas, and Devin showed up.

"Hope you haven't been waiting long.  We went over to Devin's house, but he wasn't up yet." Sean said.

"Well, at least you are here now." Lita said as she took Devin's arm.  They all bought their tickets, and went inside to get seats.

Adana stopped in front of the theater she had passed earlier in the morning when she went for her jog and took her helmet off.  Darien came swiftly up beside her and stopped next to her.

"Is this the place?"  Darien took his helmet off.

"Yes.  Oh look, the movie is going to start in ten minutes we better hurry."  Darien started his motorcycle back up.

"There is a parking deck right behind here.  We can park there."  And the two of them were off.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

"Excuse me.  Are these seats taken?"  Darien asked the girl sitting two seats from the end.  The movie previews were beginning and these were the only seats Adana and Darien could see.

"No they aren't.... Darien?  Is that you?"  Darien glanced down and saw Rei Hino looking back at him.

"Rei?  What are you doing here?"

"Everyone decided to come to the movies on like a group date thing." Rei motioned to the rest of the group.  Serena was sitting on the end with what must have been the guy she was getting so gussied up for.  She waved to Darien and then noticed the girl he was with.  She looks so familiar.  I have soon her some where before, like, in my past.  So is she the reason Darien has been being so mean to me lately?  He could have just told me he met someone new, it would have been easier on me.  Darien and Adana sat down.  Adana  looked down the row to see who these friends of Darien's were.  About six seats from her Lita and Ami were sitting with two guys.  Lita and Ami waved.

"You never told me you knew Darien."  Lita whispered over the previews.

"You never asked!"  Adana replied as the two started to giggle.

When the lights came back up in the theater, there were many questions to be asked that no one really wanted to answer.  Lita led Serena over to Adana by the arm.

"Serena, I would like you to meet my new next door neighbor Adana Masters.  Adana this is my good friend and classmate Serena Tsukino."  Adana bowed her head slightly.

"Pleased to meet you."  Said Adana as Darien came up behind her and put his arm around her waist.

"Serena, I would.."  Darien couldn't finish because Serena cut him off.

"We've met.  I don't think you have met my date Lucas yet."  Serena pulled Lucas out of his conversation with Ami over the digital aspects of  the special effects of the movie to introduce him to Darien.

"Hey Darien!  It is nice to finally meet you formally, and you to Adana.  You are going to like Azabu and Hiriyama-san.  She is a very good Calculus teacher."  Lucas said matter of factly.

Every one had broken off into little groups and were talking and laughing amongst themselves.

"I don't know about you, but I'm ready for lunch.  How about we all go to the bugger place right up the street for lunch.  They have a really dreamy mushroom and cheese burger!"  A chorus of agreement rose from the crowd.

Serena and Adana walked out together talking about how beautiful Tokyo is, while Darien and Lucas talked about school.

"Have you been to the Chess Tower yet?  That is Ami's favorite place." Serena asked as they exited the Theater.

"No.  I'll have to go some time.  It sounds ...nic.."  A wave of fatigue waved over Adana as the world started to turn black and she felt like she was plummeting towards the earth.  Serena grabbed Darien's arm and he caught Adana before she hit the ground.  The group stopped in their tracks and headed at full steam back to the fallen Adana.

"Adana!  Adana!  Are you OK?"  Darien asked as he gently lowered her to the ground.

"Yeah.  I feel fine.  Just a little dizzy." Adana lifted her had to her forehead to move a couple stray hairs away.

"What happened?" Mina asked in a concerned tone of voice.

"I don't know.  I felt fine then all of a sudden, BLAM!, I just felt a wave of fatigue wave over me and temporarily blacked out.  It was really weird."

"Maybe we should take it slow from now on.  We're not in any hurry.  We have all day." Said Sean as he offered his hand to help her up. She took it, and as she stood, Darien lifted her up.  This can't be happening now!  I should have e had more than enough energy in the Crystal to keep me alive for a long time.  I need to get going if I am going to get back in time.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Darien and Adana walked hand in hand from the Burger Palace to the Theater in virtual silence.  Darien looked down at Adana to see a tear in her eye.  He stopped and lifted her chin up so she was now looking at him.

"Adana, why are you crying?"  Darien asked sympathetically.

"You are dating me just to make her jealous, aren't you?"

"Make who jealous?"  Darien asked quizzically.

"Serena.  That is why there are the pictures of you and Serena all over your apartment."  Darien immediately pulled Adana close to him and spoke softly to her.

"That is far from true.  Serena and I have a special relationship and always will have this, how can I explain it, connection.  Her and my breaking up has nothing to do with jealousy over you or anybody else for that matter."  If only I could tell you that one day Serena and I are going to get married and rule Tokyo for all of eternity.  "Believe me.  You have nothing to worry about."

They continued on down the road.

"I don't think she really likes me.  She sees me as a threat almost like I am going to come between you and her.  But all in all she seems friendly enough.  She invited me to go with her, Ami, Lita, Mina, and Rei to go to the amusement park on a girls only day.  You have some wonderful friends, Darien.  You are quite blessed."

"That I am.  That I am."  Replied Darien as he helped Adana on her motorcycle.  "Are you sure your are OK?  I don't want you getting into an accident in the way home or something worse."  Darien was very concerned.

"Don't worry.  I'm just fine.  It was probably just from over excitement and my brain fried out on me.  Call me later?"  Adana leaned over and kissed Darien.

"I'll call.  Bye."  He waved as Adana sped off.

Adana closed the door to her apartment and rushed into her bedroom.  She frantically started opening and closing drawers looking for her transformation brooch.  When she found it she opened it up and waited impatiently for Sailor Pluto's bright shinning face to appear.  It only took a minute for her to appear, but it felt like an eternity to Adana.

"Took you long enough.  Do you have any conception of time?"  Adana asked every so slightly peeved.

"When you are as old as I am,  who cares!!  I have a right to be just a little late.  So how is your search going?  Have you found Empherius yet?" asked Pluto.

"No I'm still looking, but I know I will find him soon.  I have a problem.  The Crystal is loosing energy quicker than expected.  Is there anyway to stop the drain?"  Adana was worried.  If this keeps happening, I will be drained in no time.  Assuming that this happens more frequently, I will be in definite trouble.  I've only been here a week!  I have to have more time!!

"There should be at least three weeks of energy left before the Crystal is totally drained.  I will have to research this more.  Give me a couple of days to pin-point the exact reason why this is happening."  Pluto looked worried.  I hope it is not what I think it is.  If it is the poor Princess has no idea what she is in for.  Please Selene, don't let it happen.

"Pluto, what did you think it is?"  Adana asked

"Not to be worried.  Sometimes people can suffer from time travel fatigue.  Don't worry.  These symptoms should go away in about a week."  Sailor Pluto knew she was bold face lying to her best friend, but it was unavoidable.

"Why did it take a week for the symptoms to start?"  Adana wasn't too worried, just cuirass.

"It probable took this long for your body to adjust to the culture shock it is experiencing.  They will be gone in just a few days."  Adana wasn't convinced.  "I'll do more research on it I promise.  I'll be calling you back before you know it.  The brooch is beeping.  Negaverse trouble again!  I'll let you get to your business.  Oh fun.  It looks like Empherius has unleashed a sentinel to look for you.  It's not like that is going to do him much good.  Well, better pack the special artillery for this one.  He seems like lots of trouble.  Good Luck!"  The screen went blank in the blink of an eye.  Something is wrong.  Definitely wrong.  But Adana did not have enough time to worry about it now.  She quickly transformed into Sailor Sun and opened her drawers again.  She pulled out two silver fans with long black tassels.  She proceeded to put one in each of her knee high black suede boots.  Out of all the things she had received from the Negaverse, this was the only thing that could be effectively used against them.  Sailor Sun lifted her sword of the bed and away she went.

Ami, Lita, Mina, Rei, and Serena were walking home from the movies when the topic of conversation turned to Adana and Darien.

"If you don't mind me saying so, I feel like we have met her before.  I sensed fear when she had that dizzy spell.  Adana is hiding something."  Rei said nonchalantly while waving to someone she knew that was walking across the street.

"Adana seems to be a very nice and cordial soul.  She was very polite to me this morning at Lita's a partment.  She left so that Lita and I could have a private conversation."  Ami retorted.

"Yeah and she even cleaned up my kitchen for me while I answered the door.  Rei, I think you are totally wrong.  I think she is just like Serena.  A happy-go-lucky person who is just to kind to everyone, because she knows what it is like to be alone.   Don't be over critical of her." protested Lita.

"Back off you guys.  I didn't mean any harm.  She carries a bad omen about her and she carries a good one at the same time.  We should watch out for her, that's all!"  Rei had barely finished her sentence when a flash of bright light.  The girls were stunned as the shielded their eyes from the light, and let out little screams of suprise.  A solider dressed in hideous feather-like armor appeared before them.

"You can make this easy or you can make this hard.  Either way you pathetic humans are going to turn the princess over to me. Now, give her to me!!"  the Sentinel waved his arm over the crown over the frightened masses of people and unleashed a shower of iridescent rain drops.

"Don't let the rain drops touch you!" screamed Luna as the girls and cats ran for cover in a near-by ally.

"Look!  The people in the street have been turned into zombies!" Mina pointed out.  The people eyes were black and many were falling on the ground, their energy being stricken from them going into a little orb.

"We've got to do some thing!  We just can't let those people have their energy drained!" Lita said.

"That thing is so scary!! Let's just go home and pretend we never saw it!" Serena protested.

      "Serena!" the rest yelled.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

"I will not let you rip this beautiful city apart, looking for someone who you will never find, you evil Sentinel.  I am Sailor Sun, and in the name of Crystal Tokyo and my beloved future, I will punish you!"  The girls looked out from the alley way to see sailor sun in all her splendor, standing defiantly with her arms crossed in front of the Sentinel.  They looked back at each other in shock.

"I am Bright Hawk, the swiftest of the Sentinels.  You will have to be fast to catch me you little Sailor Sissy!"  Bright Hawk started to laugh.  Empherius showed up behind him, laughing also.  Suddenly, a voice came from the darkness behind Sailor Sun.

"I will not let you hurt these innocent people!" cried Sailor Venus who was standing back to back with Sailor Mercury.

"You use the power of their brains to search for evil!  I am disgusted!"  cried Mercury.

"With fire and brim stone.." yelled Sailor Mars.

"And thunder and lighting.." yelled Sailor Jupiter.  "We will send you back where you came from you evil Nega-sludge!!" they said together.  When they finished, Sailor Moon arrived on the scene.

"I am Sailor Moon, and I stand for love and justice.  In the name of the moon, I will punish you!"  Empherius was laughing even harder than before.

Now I can entertain all of you at once so I can get you out of my way as I search for the Princess.  Sentinel Bright Hawk!  Do what you want with the other Sailor scouts, but leave Sailor Sun to me!  You have a special meeting with destiny Sun, and I am here to deliver the invitation!" Empherius said as he vanished.  As soon as he vanished the Scouts were poised for battle.  The clash had started, and Jupiter was ready to get it over.

"All right you Sentinel, have a taste of my thunder!  Jupiter Thunder.... Crash!"  But Sailor Jupiter was not fast enough.  Bright Hawk dodged the blast and unleashed one of his own, and sent all the Scouts except Sun flying.  She was able to jump out of the way in time to miss the blast.  They are only making things harder for me.  I could have defeated this guy by now!

"This guy is fast.  I'll put him on ice.  Mercury Bubbles Freeze!"  Again this was ineffective.  The bubbles were just deflected.

      "My bubbles!"

"I'll show him.  Hey ugly, if you want to mess with my friends, you will have to go through me.  Have a little taste of fire!  Mars Celestial Fire Surround!"  Bright hawk went to block the attack, but a rose came out of no where an sliced his hand.  He just barely missed being hit by the fire.

      "Tuxedo Mask!!" cried Sailor Moon.

"Finish him off, Sailor Moon!"  Tuxedo Mask called down to Sailor Moon from the top of a nearby store.

"Right!  Moon Scepter Elimination!"  Sailor Moon did her attack.  Bright Hawk started laughing again.

"Oh no!  The Elimination had no effect.  What are we going to do now!"  Sailor Moon started to whimper.

"It will never work Sailor Moon.  The attacks you have are to weak to defeat Empherius's Sentinels. I have just the thing to defeat this looser!"  With a blink of an eye Sailor Sun had pulled the fans out her boots.  She flipped them open and was poised to attack.

"You think a couple of little fans were going to scare me.  You must be joking!" laughed Bright Hawk.  Sailor Sun was steamed.  She crossed her arms in front of her face so that the fans shone on either side of her face, and quickly whipped them over her head, arms still crossed.

"Eternal Fan.... Slice!!"  yelled Sun as she threw the matched set of fans simultaneously like Frisbees.  Bright Hawk tried to dodge them but was unsuccessful.  The fans sliced right through him and he turned to dust and one glowing black orb.  Like boomerangs, the fans came back, and Sailor Sun caught one over her head and the other she reached behind her back and caught. The Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask were awestruck.  Sailor Sun paid no attention to them and ran over to retrieve the crystal before Empherius could realize what had happened.  Sailor Sun like the attention she was getting was the Sailor Scouts rushed over to her.  She knew they had a lot of questions, but first they had to get to safe ground because all the people who had their energy.  To Sailor Sun, secrecy was of the utmost importance right now.  She looked around and motioned to the roof top were Tuxedo Mask still stood.

"We will be safe up there." Stated Sailor Sun as she leapt to the top of the building.

"How does she do that!?!" questioned Venus.

"She is really a well trained soldier like the outer scouts.  I don't know, but it seems like she is going to answer some questions in private. She really seems to know a lot about us already."  Replied Artemis.

"When she first confronted the Sentinel, her words were 'in the name of the future and Crystal Tokyo I will punish you', so she must have been sent by Neo-Queen Serenity, but why?" asked Sailor Jupiter.

"Come on girls! Let's not delay and go find out." Said Luna.

      "Right!" they all replied.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Sun were standing on the roof of the store looking over at the girls below.  They seemed to be discussing something very important, because they were taking so long.

"What you did down there was quite amazing, Sailor Sun.  But I have one question.  Why did you go back and pick up that orb that was left by the Sentinel?" Tuxedo Mask asked.

"The orb is a piece of Empherius.  He uses them to gather energy.  He relies on the Wiseman for survival, and when he is away, he gives his Sentinels and Guardians the orbs to gather energy.  The people need their energy back, so I will have to destroy the orb.  Hold this please." She handed the orb to Tuxedo Mask, and reached around back to get her sword which appeared in an instant from no where.  Sailor Sun unsheathed it, and held it in front of her with both hands.

"Throw it in the air.  Straight up." Tuxedo Mask did as told and with the fury of many great swordsmen that came before her, she shattered the orb and nearly missed Tuxedo Mask's head.  He was shocked at the precision at which she turned the orb into little shards of fine cellophane-like glass that shimmered over the unconscious crowd like pixie dust.  When the shards finally reached the people, the awoke with no recollection of the events that happened before.

"I see the cavalry has arrived." said Sailor Sun as she re-sheathed her sword.

"I know you have many questions to ask and I might answer them.  I am Sailor Sun. I was sent her by Neo-Queen Serenity to help save the future.  Things are not going there, and I am their last hope. Of all the Sailor Scouts I am by far the strongest.  I have power beyond you wildest dreams."  She opened up her hands and they exploded with flames dancing on them.  She closed them and reopened them upside down like a magician does to prove they have nothing up their sleeve.  When she did, a shower of fine gold dust flew out of her gloved hand and headed toward Tuxedo Mask on the wind.  The Sailor Scouts gasped. "But all this power has its price.  I rely on this piece of the Millennium Silver Crystal for survival.  That is why I am here, to recharge the crystal and return home to fight the remnants of the Dark Moon Family.  That is why I need your help Sailor Moon.  Just to recharge the crystal, nothing more.  If you interfere with Empherius, my life could be at stake.  Believe me, I am not your enemy, but if you get in my way I will become your enemy."  Sun folded her arms and waited for the barrage of questions to come.

"Who is this Princess the Sentinel was looking for?" Asked Sailor Venus.

"I can't tell you that.  I am the Princess's personal guard and her identity must be kept a secret.  If Empherius would find out who she is or where she is, she will be in grave danger.  She is the last of the Royal Family living in Crystal Tokyo now that Rini is here, but here whereabouts must not be revealed." Pressed Sailor Sun.

"So what you are saying is that Rini has a sister!?!" exclaimed Sailor Moon.

"No, that is not what I am saying.  I am saying that she is the only one left of the Royal Lineage.  Neo-Queen Serenity and King Edymion are just fine and if they weren't then why would they have sent me."

"Why do you depend on the crystal for survival? "  asked Sailor Mercury.

"I can no tell you that yet.  When the time comes, I will have the liberty to tell you.  Right now I have to keep that a secret.  You will find out why I am here little by little.  I've already told to much."  And Sailor Sun leapt in the air and disapered.

"Well, at least she is not our enemy.  I wonder why Rini said she knew nothing about her because she sure knows about Rini." Said Sailor Mercury.

"I'm going home right not to have a talk with that little weasel!  She lied to me about knowing who Sailor Sun who is and now I am going to get her to talk!  She promised me that she would keep nothing from me!"  Sailor Moon threw a fit.  Tuxedo Mask ran over to her and held her head straight up and looked at her.

"Calm down Sailor Moon.  She is just a kid.  Maybe she really doesn't know Sailor Sun.  We don't know the circumstances of why she is here and maybe we can ask Rini one more time.  There are easier solutions to getting mad, Sailor Moon.  A lot easier."  Tuxedo Mask let go of Sailor Moon.

"Well, while it is still fresh in our minds, let's go talk to Rini." Mentioned Sailor Venus.

"Yeah, and maybe, just maybe we can have our scheduled study session at the Temple." Replied Mars.

"What are you girls waiting for?  Get moving!" said Luna.

"Come on!  Race ya to Serena's!" Yelled Sailor Jupiter as she suddenly switched into her normal clothing.  She ran to the fire escape ad was gone in a flash.

"Hey!  No fair!  You had a head start!" hollered Rei as she started down the ladder.  Mercury, Venus, and Moon turned to each other and shrugged.  Serena picked up Luna and put her on her shoulder.

"Might as well get going before we are late!"  Serena ran towards the escape.  "Last one down is a dark fruit!" she yelled as she descended.

"Come on!" the last two girls, now in their normal clothes, raced to the ladder.  Tuxedo Mask was left on the roof.  He looked out over the city and smiled.  His mind wandered. He pictured a young woman in a short silver kimono, kitana drawn, and her wakisazi behind her in her whit obi.  Darien's four generals were poised on either side of her, weapons drawn also.  Sailor Sun, who are you really?  You are so familiar to me, like the woman I always see in my dreams.  Were you part of my army?  Do you have any link to the past?  I need to know!  Darien's eyes turned to the sun that was now setting over the quiet city.  I still have to call Adana, so I better get going.  Maybe I will stop by the Tower before I go home.

      ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?     ?

Sailor Sun appeared on the roof of the Tsukino home to see Rini playing with the Luna-P ball in the back yard.  I hope no one is home.  I don't want Rini's true identity to be revealed.  Here goes!  She flew down-ward to the ground with the grace of an eagle.  Rini looked up to one of her favorite Sailor Scouts plummeting toward the ground.

"Sun!  You came back!" Rini yelled as she ran over to where Sailor Sun was going to land. But Rini ran to far and Sailor Sun landed on Luna-P and crashed into the ground, hurting her leg.

"Sailor Sun!  Are you ok?  I'm so sorry.  I didn't mean to hurt you.  Oh, Sun!"  Rini flung her arms around Sailor Sun's neck and hugged her so tight that Sun thought she was going to choke.

"I'm fine Little One.  Just fine.  I am Sailor Sun, strongest of the Sailors!  A little rough landing won't hurt me!"  She stood up and that is when the pain shot up her leg.  Great!  Just what I needed!  A sprained ankle to get in my way.

"Why are you here?  Is everything ok?" Rini plopped down on the ground.  Sailor Sun got up and brushed her uniform and bent down on one knee so she would be the same height as the young Princess.  Sailor Sun put her hand on Rini's shoulder and looked her strait in the eye.

"Small Lady, I want you to know that the Sailor Scouts know who I am.  You can tell them what you know about me, but use discretion.  I don't want them to know too much,  because I am in grave danger. Secrecy is still of the utmost importance."

"Are you in danger?  Why have you come here?" Rini grabbed Sun around the neck and hugged her tight.  "Don't leave me!  I don't want you to get hurt!  Let the Scouts know why you are here so they can protect you!"

"Rini, I understand your concern, but if you don't do what I say, the whole future could change right before our eyes.  Nothing would be the same!  Be strong Little One and do what I say.  I love you."  Sailor Sun let go of Rini, and stood up to leave. When she reappeared on the roof of the Tsukino home, she turned to wave back at the little figure that was waving at her from the ground.

"See ya later, Phoenix." Said Rini quietly as Sailor Sun disappeared from sight.

"What do you mean by saying 'Phoenix', Rini." The young girl just stayed back at the form of her friend and future mother, Serena, looking down at her.

"Sailor Sun said it was ok to tell, but she to use disgresion.  I don't know what I can tell you."

"Why don't you cone in the house and tell me all about what you think I would know.  While you are at it we can have a late night snack of ice cream sundaes while we are at it.  Does that sound good."  Serena reached out her hand for Rini to grab.  Rini took it and smiled.

Serena can be really nice some times.  I wonder why she can't be like this all the time.  Thought Rini.

Rini can be so cute when she is not hogging my bed or going after my boyfriend!  Actually she is not as bad as Sammy can be at times.  Thought Serena.

The ringing of the phone on woke Adana up from the sleep she desperately needed.  She turned her head toward the nightstand and just stared at the ringing phone.  Why now?  I don't care what anyone has to say, I just want to sleep.  She picked up the phone and put it up to her ear.

"Hello?"  Adana asked in a sleepy tone of voice.

"Adana? Did I wake you up?"  The voice on the other end of the line was Darien's.

"No you didn't.  I was just doing some reading for my international law class when I must have dozed off."  She lied, but was so tired after the battle she didn't care.

"If you want me to I'll call you in the morning so you can get back to sleep."  Darien said in a conserned tone of voice.  "You really out to get some rest after that incident this afternoon.  I'll let you go and you put up those books and get some rest.  You have all of tomorrow to study."

"I'm ok.  Really Darien.  I pulled lots of all-niters when I was back home in L.A.  This afternoons incident was nothing, I am fine now.  I just got a little dizzy spell, it happens to people all the time."  Adana defended.

"If you don't hang up the phone right now and go to bed I will hang up on you."  teased Darien.

"All right, I'm hanging up the phone.  Good night Darien.  Sweet dreams."

"Good night Adana." Darien hung up the phone and settled down into his bed.  If only my dreams were sweet and not nightmares, life would be a whole lot nicer.

"Jadeite you take the flank and see if you can get the troops around them.  Malachite you come with me." the woman yelled as she motioned to the Generals with her sword.  She was of a regal nature wearing a short silver kimono with a black obi. She ran amongst the fallen and walking wounded to get to the leader, Prince Darien, with Malachite two steps behind.  She ran into the tent to see Prince Darien and the rest of his Generals in council. He looked up from his maps and peered into the direction of the intrusion.  The woman kneeled in the presence of the Prince and waited to address him.  He walked over to her an cupped her face in his hand.

"You never have to bow in my presence, you know that." Darien gazed onto her eyes and smiled.

"I'm not kneeling, I'm resting."  She got up off her knees and walked over to the table.  "I have news from the front lines."  She leaned over the table and started knocking over little soldier pieces.  "We have suffered heavy losses in the areas of the 1st and 57th Battalions.  Morale is low and they need someone better to lead them."  She looked up at him and smiled.  "What they need is you to lead them Prince Darien."

"I can't go out into the front lines.  If I get killed then the other side wins.  All the rebels want is me dead." Darien sat down in his chair.

"You don't have to go into battle, just lead them into battle."  He looked up at her and sighed.

"Only if you come with me.  I can do nothing without your guidance.  I knew it would eventually come to this.  Malachite my armor."  He got up out of the chair and faced his friend and General.  When he was suited up he went to the stables and got on his favorite stead, Blaze.  He had another saddled for his lady friend.

They rode to battlefront and dismounted their steads.  The soldiers automatically started to crowd around them, praising and hailing their Prince and leader.

"Today is the day that we will stand, victorious against Anarchy.  I ask you as your friend, have I been a fair leader?"  A chorus of shouts arose in a positive reply.  "Have I been a just leader?" Another chorus of praise erupted from the ranks.  "Then let us go into battle and defeat those that oppose us, those that ravage the beautiful countryside, those that rob us of our freedom by terrorizing us.  In the name of love and justice I will fight with you to save our planet from those that oppose us!!"  The Prince unsheathed his sword and held it high in the air.  "Into battle!" Cries rose from the soldiers as they rushed into battle.  Prince Darien and the woman rushed in with them, and the swords started flying with a vengeance.  Stroke after stroke the duo  swung their swords and the crimson flew.  "War is to bloody, but it has to happen to keep the peace."  Thought Darien.  Suddenly an ear pierceing scream came from behind.  As he swung around he saw a figure fall in a flurry of silk.  "Nnnoooooooooo!" He ran with all his might to the side of his fallen comrade.  The sword was lodged in her stomach.  He dislodge it and noticed it was the sword of one of his Generals.  He lifted the semi-limp body, and tears streamed down his face.  She opened her eyes to look at him one more time.  They new it was the end of their life together.

"Why?  Why?" Darien cried. He held her close to him and picked up her long white hair.  It was now stained red with her blood.  "Who did this to you?"

"Beware of a higher power behind the revolution.  Beware of designation among your Generals."

"Shhhh.. Don't say anymore.  If we hurry we can get you back to my tent and get a doctor for you." She leaned up towards him and they kissed for the last time.  She she'd only one tear.       "Remember me, Darien. Remember m.." She collapsed, breathing her last breath to warn him. He dropped her life less body in his lap and leaned over it, crying like he has never cried before.

      "My love.  Princess.."

Darien sat up with a jerk, in a cold sweat.  He grabbed his head and realized he was crying.

"Who was she?  Is it a relative of Serena's?  She looks so much like her with that unmistakable hairstyle.  Who is she?  It's driving me crazy!  Every night I get further and further, and I never know her name."  He lay back down and tried to go to sleep, but all he could think about was the mystery woman in his dreams.

"Some day I will know who she is.  Some day.." he promised himself as he fell back asleep.

"Princess Selenity, are you ready to leave?"  Sailor Venus asked as she peered around the door into the Princess's bedroom.  Princess Selentity was sitting on her bed in her bathrobe, her clothes laid out as her mother had put them a couple of hours ago.  She held a wakasazi in her lap and she was just staring at the beautiful craftsmanship of the weapon.  Sailor Venus walked into the room, and sat down next to the crying Princess.  She put her arm around the shoulder's of her friend.

"It's ok to cry.  She meant a lot to you.  If you don't get dressed, we will never make it to the funeral."

"I commissioned this set of swords to be specially forged for her.  I'm glad they served her well in battle." Selenity dropped the sword from her lap, and turned to her good friend.

"Come on Serena.  Get dress and let's get moving.  If you don't go to the funeral you will never forgive your self."

"You are right.  I at least owe her the courtesy of going to the funeral.  My only..."

Serena woke up with a start.

"My only what?  What a strange dream.  Luna, did I ever have anyone close to me die?"  She shook the poor sleeping cat to the point it woke up from its sleep.

"What are you waking me up for at this hour?  It was only a bad dream. Go back to sleep, Serena."  Luna rolled over and attempted to go to sleep.

"Luna, this is no time for a nap!!  Did anyone close to me ever die?!"  Serena exclaimed.

"Not that I can recall Serena.  Like you I don't remember everything that happened in the past, now go back to sleep."

"All right Luna, I'll go back to sleep."  Serena turned over and glanced at her clock.  I wonder what Darien is doing right about now.

Adana woke to a rustling noise in her kitchen.  She quietly crept out of bed and retrieved her K off the dresser.  Opening the door, she crept into the living room to so someone lying on the couch with their back to her.  Like lightning she had her sword at the intruders neck.

"One false move and I will have your head on a stick!" quipped Adana.  The intruder put the magazine she was reading down.

"Adana, you really ought to get some newer Vogue magazines out here,"  the intruder turned around.  "These are way out of date!"  Adana dropped her sword on the ground, and took a few steps back.

"Setsuna!  What are you doing here?!  I...but I.."  Adana didn't know what to say, but Setsuna knew she was happy to see her.  Suddenly there came a crash in the kitchen.  Michiru walked out of the kitchen wiping her hands off on a towel.  Her hair was tied up in a yellow bandanna, and there was flour all over her.

"Hi, Adana."  Michiru out stretched her arms for a hug from her friend, and Adana gladly embraced her.

"Wait a minute.  If you guys are her then that means..."  Adana picked up her sword,  rushed into the kitchen, and stopped dead in the door way.

"All right!  Now it's time for a rematch!"  Adana's  spun around.

"I'm unarmed.  You wouldn't strike someone who had no weapon, now would you?"  Adana just glared at the blond man standing in front of her.  She lifted her sword up, and struck.  The man just stared at her as she stopped only centimeters from his throat.  He never flinched.

"I see I taught you well."  He man replied.  Adana dropped her sword on the floor.

"Haruka-chan!" she yelled as she jumped up to hug the man that she had missed so much.  "I have missed you so much!"  Adana stepped back and looked Haruka over.  Haruka did like wise.

"You look great for being dead for how many years was it?"  Haruka ruffled her head.

"I will be dead again soon if I don't get moving.  Where were you when I was reincarnated?  You were one of the first people I wanted to see when I returned home."

"I'm sorry.  I was busy."  Haruka hugged her again.

"I see you have now forgiven him for not being there when you returned."  Setsuna said from the doorway.  Adana turned around to see her best friend and Michiru standing in the doorway.

"What is that funny smell?" Setsuna sniffed the air.

"My muffins and cupcakes!  Oh no!"  Michiru announced as she ran over to the oven.  She flung open the door and waved her towel in front of the oven to  disperse the smoke.  When the rest of the smoke was gone, she ventured into the oven and pulled out her creations.

"Well, the cupcakes are ok, but the muffins are, well..."  she was interrupted by Haruka.

"It looks like Rei got a hold of them!"  The crew burst into laughter.  Adana yawned.

"If you all don't mind, I am going to go back to bed. I'm just a little tired.  I was up late last night,"  Adana walked to the kitchen door, and turned around, "Make yourselves at home."

She walked through the door, and stopped.

"It's not like you already have!" she mumbled.  A wave of fatigue waved over her and she collapsed on the floor.

"What in the hell is that?"  Michiru asked.

"Adana!" exclaimed Setsuna.  The three dropped what they were doing and rushed out the door to Adana.  She was lying uncontence on the floor.

"This is to soon, just to soon!" cried Setsuna.  Haruka picked her up off the floor, rushed her into the bedroom, and placed her on the bed.

"What is too soon, Setsuna!" cried Michiru.  Setsuna looked up from the nearly lifeless body of their best friend, a tear forming in her eye.

      "She is dying."

"I wonder were in the world Adana is.  She is half an hour late!"  said Rei as she looked at her watch.  All the girls were waiting for their friend, when Setsuna, Haruka, and Michiru came running down the street.

"What is going on Puu?"  asked Rini as her friend came running to her side.

"Serena, where is Darien?"  Serena looked shocked an could barely reply.

"Why?  What is going on?"  The girls rushed around their friends and opened a barrage of questions about what was going on.  A sharp whistle pierced their ears.  It was Haruka.

"Cut it out!  Nothing is wrong we just wanted to catch you before you went into the park."  explained Michiru.

"He is probably at the Crown Game Center with Andrew.  He usually hangs out there on Sundays."  replied Ami.

"Ami, you are such a life saver!"  cried Haruka.  He turned to run the other way.

"Come on guys!  Let's get going!"  he hollered as he started to run down the street.

"Have fun!" Setsuna said as she and Michiru started to chase Haruka down the street.  The girls just stood there, bewildered at what they had just experienced.

"Well, that was weird.  I guess Adana isn't coming.  Why don't we just go.  We could study, the big exams are tomorrow."  Lita suggested.

"The worst thing in the world you can do is cram before a major test.  Let's have fun, it might be the last time we will be able to for a long time.  I have a strange feeling that we are in for some deep trouble with that Sailor Sun around."  said Ami.  "This is one time that I know I am ready for a test."

      "Let's go!"  The group shouted.

"Well, Darien, if she is that wonderful, then more power to you."  Andrew told Darien as he sat down next to his best friend.  "But what will you do with Serena?"

"I don't know. Adana and I have so much in common.  It is almost like I've known her before.  She reminds me of the woman that is in my dreams.  It is haunting, Andrew."  Darien sighed.  He took a sip of his milkshake.

"Why does this have to be so hard?  I..I ..I think I love her."

"Darien, you have only known her for, what, three days?  Aren't you moving a little fast?" Andrew was concerned.  His best friend was losing his grip on reality.  This American girl comes waltzing in his life and everything goes to hell in a hand basket.

"Maybe I am Andrew.  I don't know anymore.  Maybe I just need some time alone."  Darien hung his head low in despair.

Andrew consoled Darien a little longer.  Darien gathered his thoughts and was about to leave when a hand touched him on shoulder.  He turned to look up and saw the face of friends.

"Setsuna, what are you guys doing here?  Is something wrong?"  he stood up to leave and took hold of Setsuna's forearm.

"Darien, let's go out side for a private chat, shall we?"  Michiru said quietly as she gently grabbed hold of his arm as Haruka reached for his jacket.  They quietly walked out the door.  Andrew waved to his friend.

"See ya later.." the door shut behind the group,"..Darien."

"What in the world is going on!  I'm having a crisis in my life and you want to chat!"  Darien was peeved.

"We need some information.  What do you remember about the past Darien?  Of the Moon Kingdom."  asked Michiru.  Darien stopped for a moment, pondering the question that was just posed to him.

"Not much.  Just images really.  Most every thing Serena and the others remember."  Darien stopped and sat on a bench.

"What do you mean you remember most everything the others remember.  Is there something you remember, but they don't?" asked Haruka.  Darien couldn't say anything, he just hung his head.

"Darien, we need to know." Setsuna almost yelled at him.  A tear rolled down Darien's nose, dropping with a splatter on the concrete.  He looked up with his pink tinged eyes.

"Why do you need to know?"  he wiped another tear from the corner of his eye.

"Darien, it is a matter of life for someone who is very dear to you." Michiru consoled.

      "Oh, my God...."
