reasearch consists of books that have significant discussions
about history and technology.

These are books that have provided technology discussions,
history and such that I have drawn upon. As such the plot
elements are more general than ones I have drawn inpiration from.
These are sorted first by author, then by title. Besides the
actual books, there are also links to web sites devoted to the
