Players may choose any race that is local to the start of the campaign. Most of the racial templates in the BESM Fantasy Bestiary are availiable. Since magic can be used to transform humans and other races, voluntarily or involuntarily, players may also choose a changed animal or human-animal mix. They would have an animals body, but human mind. Players may also try and design a new race with GM approval.
Most of the changed creatures are non-breeding.
