Now that THAT's over! Minako in manga is beautiful and much more mature than her anime alter-ego. This isn't to say she still isn't boy crazy, scheming, and a bit giggly. However, her experience as Sailor V is actually acknowledged here and she is the leader of a powerful team.
Minako goes to Shibakouen Junior High in Minato-ku. She is a fantastic volleyball player, a terrible student, and is best friends with Rei and Usagi. Usually Usagi is with Mamo-chan though, so Minako and Rei are a little closer. However, every time something happens, she goes to Minako first. After Metallia was finally defeated, after going up against Chaos in Stars, etc. Maybe coincedence, but...
One thing I've noticed about Minako is that she doesn't have the profound quotes like some of Makoto's or Ami's or Hotaru's. In fact, Minako's usually the one who explains to the reader what's going on and other such things. So my quotes page is severely lacking ^_^;
Minako is very friendly and extremely touchy-feely. This has provided some uneducated people to say that she's a lesbian, especially in Stars, when she and Rei are all over each other while confronting the 3 Lights. Let's face facts- she likes boys too much to be a lesbian! (Bi, however, I can't say either way.) But she's VENUS, the goddess of love and beauty! Any Greek/Roman mythology nut would be confused if she wasn't affectionate. She and Usagi/Rei/Makoto/Ami/etc. are not a couple. Haruka and Michiru are.
Did you know: When Rei was possessed by Ghost Sistern (a demon) she nearly kisses Minako.
