Home Sweet Home...

Dear Journal

I remember now.  That dragon in the rose garden was me!  Suddenly I felt sick.  I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach.  I was breathless and seechless.
Should I tell him or not?  I thought.  I guess I should tell him.  Oh tenjou you're always with me.  Tell me what to do.
Then a soft voice whispered to me, "Let your words go."
I figured that was as close to a yes as I was going to get so I decided to tell him.
"Onrysu," I said timidly.  My heart was pounding and my hands where shaking.  "That little dragon...the one you met, she's OK.  She got to show her mother her fire, and she can do a lot more than singe some rose pedals now."
His eyes got wide and his jaw looked as though it were goin to drop to the ground.
"Wha- How- when?  I don't know what to say!  How do you know all this?  Do you know her?  Where can I find her?!  I always thought she died with the rest of the kingdom!" he said frantically.
"Whoa, Whoa...slow down there killer," I laughed.
He started to giggle a little.  "I'm sorry.  I'm just so excited to hear about her.  I didn't even know her name. You have to tell me all about her and tell me how you know her."
"Let's just say I'm very close to her," I said.
"Hiryuu!!!  Hiryuu!!! Where have you gone to?!" someone cried off in the distance.  It was Valana. "Here you are.  How is it that when I want to stay departed from you, you always manage to find me and even step on me, but when I need to talk to you you're no where to be found?"
"You're just lucky I guess." I laughed.
"Uh, huh, yes I'm sure that's the reason," she said with a smile.  "Anyway.  The Mrs. is looking for you.  She wants to talk to you about something."  She then looked at the two of us sitting side by side and at the picnic lunch.  She smirked, turned and walked away.
I turned to Onrysu and said "I guess I should go see what you mom wants."
"Ya...I guess you should.  I'll see you later right?"  He sounded almost worried, like he thought I wouldn't be there later in the day.
"Of course you will.  Where else would I go?"  As I walked away I turned around and yelled, "By the way, the dragon's name Hiryuu."  Then I ran towards the  house.

"How could you lose them?!" Nebulana said in an eraged voice.
"I am sorry wise one.  I have failed you this time, but I will not fail you again.  I promise.  Give me just one more chance, please." Said Nebulana's henchman.
"You don't understand how much this means to me!  I must destroy her and everyone associated with that kingdom!  All I wanted to do was help...but no, that wretched Fetu had to banish me!  Now I will get my revenge.  I killed her once I can do it again, along with all of the remaining people of the Kingdom in the Clouds!  That includes the heir to the throne!!!!!"  Nebulana screamed and then let out an evil laugh.  "Now go and help me to complete my plan!"
"At once mam."

"Ok Val.  Let's see what you got!"  said Onrysuu, the two began to wrestle on the ground.
I walked up to them in my training outfit with my staff.
"I don't know Onry, you're form's pretty bad." I said jokingly.
"Form?  What there's a form to wrestling panthers now?" he laughed.
"No, but still...you're form's bad..."
"You want to try me?  Let's see what you're made of," he said in a cocky voice.
"Ok.  Your sword against my staff.  Let's go!"
Val got up and walked to the side.
"I don't think I can watch this." she said.  "Just don't kill each other."
We both stood ready, then we nodded at each other and the sparring began.  He was very good with his sword.  He had good form and technique, he must have gotten it form his father.  He lunged at my left side and I blocked his sword with my staff.  We faught each other for a good while.  We kicked, blocked, punched, and blocked some more.  We faught together well.  It was very hard for one of us to overcome the other because we could almost predict the other person's move.  It was like we had faught before.  Well I must have caught him off guard somehow because I managed to knock his sword from his grasp.  He smirked and I laughed.
"Not so tough after all huh?"
"You would like to think wouldn't you," he said.  Then he hooked his foot behind my legs and knocked me to the ground.  As I went down I grabbed him and pulled him down with me.  He landed on top of me.  I looked at him.  The sweat in his hair made it gleam in the sunlight.  A few single strands of hair fell infront of his face, out of his pony tail.  They seemed to frame his green eyes and accent his dark tanned face.
"I thought you'd be stronger, being a dragon and all."  He smiled at me.
"I could always fly away right now, or spray some fire in your direction."
He just kept smiling at me.  He put his finger to my lips.
"Take me..." he said softly, tenderly.
"Take you where?' I asked.
"Take me to the sky.  Take me into your home in the clouds.  I want to see the stars in the sky like you once did."
"Ok."  I said.  He stood up and pulled me off the ground.  He just stood there and looked at me.  He said nothing.  I nodded at him and he gave me a little smile.
"Human and Dragon together as one, the blood of the creature now must run."  I chanted.  As I repeadted this phrase the dust of the earth began to swirl around me.  It covered around me almost like a shell.  Slowly I began to turn into a dragon, first my two wings emerged from the shell, then my long, glistening tail emereged.  Finally the dust rolled away and I stood before Onrysuu as a dragon.  My scaled were blue and my wongs were deep purple.  My ring of diamonds glistened on my neck, and a new diamond had appeared on my forhead.  I let out a great flame and then said, "Come along."  I bent down so that Onrysu could climb onto my neck and sit on my back.  He timidly walked towards me and climbed onto my back.
We rode up through the clouds, the wind swept through Onrysu's hair.  The sky grew darker the further we climbed in the air.  The clouds grew less and less. Soon we saw stars twinkling in the heavens.  Thousands upon thousands of stars shined, it was as if they were all trying to shine their brightest just for us.  I found a cloud and landed on it.
