Queen Beryl was listening to some music. There was a plant on a table
in front of her. The plant wilted and died away. The music had stolen
the energy from the plant. Jadeite said that the music had subliminal
waves that would work the same way on humans. Queen Beryl was delighted and told Jadeite to try it out. Then Jadeite sent one of his youma, Kyulene, to do the job with a tape of the subliminal music.
Usagi (Serena) was at Naru's (Molly's) room relaxing and listening to music. Naru (Molly) was playing some jazz, by a artist called Amade Yusuke. Serena was impressed that Molly listened to jazz music and said she must be very mature. Molly said that she was, and that Serena could ask her about anything she didn't understand. Naru (Molly) thought that Yusuke would be a nice older man and wanted to go on a date with him. Usagi (Serena) said that she would pass.
At a record studio, Kyulene was trying to put the tape with the
subliminal music into the recording machines. Then the copies made on
that deck would contain the subliminal music. The virus would spread.
But before she could do her job, Akiko came into the studio and took the tape out of the deck. The youma was preparing to attack her, but then someone came to call Akiko, saying that Amade was waiting for her.
Akiko went to meet Amade, who was soaking wet because it was raining outside. Yusuke had a bouquet of roses for Akiko behind his back. He said he would "tell her today". Akiko returned the demo tape to Yusuke, saying that it was very good. When Yusuke mentioned that it was Akiko's birthday, a technician came for Akiko because of some recording trouble. Akiko ran off and told Yusuke to use her umbrella. Akiko asked Yusuke to think of a name for his music by next week. Yusuke then looked at the case where he had written the name, "A Waltz for Akiko". He never gave her the roses.
The youma followed Yusuke after he left the studio. When Yusuke
noticed the youma, he ran off.
Usagi (Serena) left Naru (Molly)'s house with Luna. Usagi (Serena) was going to stop by at the game center to play the Sailor V game, but Luna told her not to. Then Yusuke came running down the street and ran into Usagi (Serena). Usagi (Serena) fell down and got her brand new clothes all wet. Usagi (Serena) got mad and yelled at Yusuke, who was still on the ground. Then Yusuke looked up at Usagi (Serena), who had a very mean look on her face, and cried out for help. He asked Usagi (Serena) not to kill him. Then Usagi (Serena) said that she wouldn't kill him just for knocking her down.
She asked if someone was chasing him. They walked under Usagi's (Serena's) umbrella and Amade told her what had happened to him after he left the studio.Someone had followed him; he had seen a strange creature in the alleyway. He had been fleeing when he ran into Usagi (Serena). He thought that Usagi (Serena) wouldn't believe him. Then they came to aclubhouse and Yusuke said that he had to work there. Then he apologized and said that it must be a trick of his imagination. Amade said he would pay the laundry bill for Serena's outfit but he didn't have any money with him. So he gave Usagi (Serena) his name card and ran off. Usagi (Serena) was surprised that it was the Amade Yusuke from the CD that she had heard.
Luna told Usagi (Serena) that it must be one of the youma after Yusuke. So she said that they couldn't leave him alone. Usagi (Serena) thought it was a great chance to look into the adult's world. When they got to the clubhouse, Luna said that they wouldn't let children inside. But Usagi (Serena) used her "Disguise Power" to turn into a female musician. Before going in, Usagi (Serena) told Luna that they wouldn't let cats inside. Luna started to worry.
Usagi (Serena) went inside with Luna around her neck, as an accessory. Usagi (Serena) sat down and saw Yusuke playing the piano. Usagi (Serena) fell asleep while listening to the music. When she woke up, Yusuke had already left.
In the parking lot in the basement, Yusuke was looking at a picture of
Akiko. Then some bats appeared. They merged to form the youma, Kyulene, who took the cassette tape away from Yusuke. She changed her fingernails into long blades and was about to kill him, but Usagi (Serena) appeared. So the youma flew away. Then Yusuke said that he wanted his tape back.
Yusuke and Usagi (Serena) went in Yusuke's car after the youma. Yusuke that he wouldn't give that tape to anyone, not even a monster. Usagi (Serena) said, "Because it was made for Akiko, right?". Amade was surprised that Usagi (Serena) knew. She said she was mature enough to see these things. Amade said he was silly to have a one-sided love at his age, but Serena said everyone has the right to be in love. Amade asked why she was helping him. Usagi (Serena) said she was a superheroine for love and justice.Then they followed the youma to the recording studio. Yusuke said that Akiko was inside.
The youma had knocked everyone out. She was going to put her subliminal tape in the machine so that all of the tapes created there would have the subliminal message in it. But Yusuke came up looking for Akiko. Luna also came and knocked the tape away from the youma. Usagi (Serena) picked up the tape. Then the youma turned into her evil form, and asked for her tape back. Yusuke noticed that the tape that Usagi (Serena) was holding was not his.
Then Akiko woke up. The youma grabbed Akiko and was about to kill her if they didn't return the tape. So Usagi (Serena) threw the tape up into the air. Yusuke dove to Akiko to save her. Luna jumped up to grab the tape before the youma could get it. Then Luna dropped the tape, and stepped on it to smash it. Then the youma flew away through the window to a concert hall.
Luna told Usagi (Serena) to transform into Sailor Moon. Then Sailor Moon and Luna went after the youma. "I am Sailor Moon! You will not use music for evil plots! Even Haydn, the father of music, is furious." Luna said that Bach was considered the father of music. Sailor Moon said that the
youma wouldn't know the difference.
The youma blasted Sailor Moon with some sound wave attack. So Sailor Moon threw a stage microphone at the youma's sound wave attack. The speaker blasted the youma with her own sound waves amplified. Then Sailor Moon used her moon tiara action to defeat the youma.
Akiko was treating Yusuke's wounds. She said that Yusuke should be
more careful because he wouldn't be able to play the piano if he injured
his hand. But Yusuke said that he wouldn't be able to play if anything
happened to Akiko.
Later when Usagi (Serena) was at Naru (Molly)'s house listening to Yusuke's CD, Naru (Molly) said that she was disappointed that Yusuke had gotten married. Usagi (Serena) agreed that Yusuke was a nice guy. "Yeah, he's gentle and brave." Naru (Molly) said Usagi (Serena) sounded like she knew him. "I do!" laughed Usagi (Serena). Naru (Molly) thought she was joking. Usagi (Serena) looked at Amade's new CD. It was titled "Moonlight Lady - For The Young Lady Fighting For Justice".
