Anthy Himemeya- The Witch's Lair

"The Bride of the Roses- Bara no Hime.  This is Anthy Himemeya.  She is the only living relation the acting chairman has.  As the Rose Bride, Anthy has no rights.  She appears to even have no emotions, other than those she reflects from the current champion of the duels, who she is engaged to.  Currently the champion is Utena Tenjou."

"The Rose Bride holds within her all that is left of the power of the prince, Dios.  This power is manifested during the duels through a sword, which the champion draws straight from Anthy's breast.  Though we cannot be certain, I believe, and so does Nancy, that Anthy is as scheming and manipulative as her brother Akio."

Though most people don't realize it, Anthy is usually the instigator of the duels fought against Utena.

  Anthy uses gestures, that while seemingly innocent, often correspond to some particular time in the targets past, which usually leads the person to challenge Utena to a duel.  She played the piano for Miki, and gave Juri a rose.

Anthy was last engaged to Kyouichi Saionji, who treated her like dirt.  Rumor has it that she was actually releaved to get away from him.
 
    Since Utena became the Champion, Anthy has had a willing defender who asks nothing of her except that she stop caller her "Miss Utena."
  
     Anthy is one of the worst students at Ohtori, and spends most of her time in the bird-cage shaped rose garden, which is also one of the main places Touga makes out in.
