The power of Dios. The power to revolutionize the world. The power of Miracles. The sword of Dios. The Rose Bride of Dios... At Ohtori academy, everything revolves around the sleeping Prince, Dios. Who is he? Is he real? Is he a ghost? So far, the only glimpses of him the outside world has had is when he lends the Champion his power in order to defend the Rose Bride. Perhaps he was real once... A long time ago, there lived a brother and a sister. The brother was a young prince who went around saving girls and turning them into princesses. He was always accompanied by his sister, who had powers of her own. One day, the young Prince came upon a weeping princess, who had been shown to him by a young man who aspired to be a prince too. Consoling the little princess, who had just lost her parents, the Prince gave the girl a ring, saying "Little one, growing up alone in such sadness, never lose that strength or nobility, even when you are grown." The little princess was consoled, and the Prince rode off. One day, the Prince never showed up... *Let us have the Prince, witch!* the people cried. The girl answered back, 'He is sick! I have used my powers to lock him away so that he will get better!' *the people were angry. Their sisters, daughters, and girlfriends needed saving, and the witch had hidden the prince away. Falling upon the girl, they pierced her with the million swords that was their hatred. The sick prince, gazing out the window, saw his sister fall, and then, the Prince died. But did he really die? |

"...and that's the legend of the Prince!" your guide finishes as she leads you back to the lobby. "Yah, Dios is around. Just listen for the arguing and name-calling. Nancy and Dios don't get along very well. He keeps trying to turn her into a princess, she threatens to sic Northstar on him, it goes on and on and on and on and--uh, er...excuse me. I got a leeeeetle bit carried away. If you see a ghostly figure popping in and out of solid surfaces, don't be alarmed. That's just Dios. Are we ready? Let's head on then!" |
