Forever In My Heart Chapter 1............      "Darien Taggart is one of the sexiest, most handsome, richest men alive. And he's on the market since his divorce from Lita."Raye Anderson said to her friend Serena, the two women sitting together in the park, watching the children play as the sun shone and the birds sang around them.      Raye looked at Serena, wishing for probably the millioneth time that she was half as beautiful as her friend. She had such large blue eyes framed by thick lashes, a little nose with small, perfect lips. Her hair was a silvery, blonde that hung past her waist, so thick and shining most women had to stop when she walked by to admire it. Her body was long and slim, in perfect proportion, her breasts small, her waist tiny, and her legs stunning.      Serena only smiled at Raye, causing her to blink at how beautiful she was."So why don't you go after him then? He's free and he comes with so much. Rene! Be careful!"she said to her seven year old daughter.      Raye glanced at Rene, her friends daughter, and wondered again who the childs father was. She had never asked Serena because she hadn't wanted to push the subject. And Serena had never volunteered the information either.      "Are you kidding? Me, go after a guy like him! No way! He needs someone like....someone like you Serena."she frowned when she stiffened at this."Whats wrong?"      "Nothing. Go on....about him, I mean."      "How are things with you and Seiya?"she asked.      "There fine. He's going to ask me to marry him."she smiled a bit."I think I'll accept too. He's so kind and he adores Rene."      "Yea, you always get the good one's. If only I could get Darien.....oh well. Keep dreaming."      Serena stood and called out to her daughter, turning to Raye."I better go. I'll drop Rene off tomorrow morning."      "Sure thing. Till then."      Serena walked home with Rene, listening to the child ramble on and on about her day. Her thoughts began drifting away, toward him as they did on occassion. Memories came flooding back, but she pushed them away as she always did, instead devoting her full attention to her daughter. After tomorrow she wouldn't see her for over two weeks again.      Darien Taggart was going over paperwork in his office when the doors opened and in walked his ex-wife, Lita Taggart, his cousin and her husband now, Ken Taggart, and Ken's brother Yaten. All three of them smiled and greeted him.      "To what do I owe this unwanted visit?"he asked without looking up.      "Oh Darien, shutup. We only came to see you and to invite you to a party."Lita said with a glare.      "I'm throwing it in honor of Serenity. You've heard of Serenity, haven't you? The most recent model to come out and make it to the top the fastest. She was voted as People Magazine's 'Most Beautiful Woman of the Century.' You have to come to the party and meet her Darien, she's absolutly stunning."Yaten said."It will do you good to get out anyway."      "Yea, maybe you'll meet a new woman and she'll change your whole life."Ken joked.      "Yea, maybe. Alright Yaten, I'll go."when none of them moved, he looked at them."You can all go now."      Yaten and Ken turned and left, but Lita told Ken she would catch up with them in a moment. She went over to Darien's desk and watched him work, ignoring her.      "Why don't you look for her Darien?"she asked quietly, causing him to stop what he was doing."You and I were finally able to split, but you never even made an attempt to look for her."      He was silent for so long she thought he was just going to ignore her, but then he spoke."She hates me Lita. And I don't blame her. How could I ever hope she would still love me after what I did to her?"      Lita sighed."If you could just explain it to her-"      "No."he cut her off."No, its too late. Only if.....maybe someday, but not right now."he went back to his work, letting her know he wouldn't speak of it anymore.      Lita left the room, guilt eating at her that she hadn't told him Serenity and his Serena were one and the same. You'll meet her again Darien, she thought with a smile, I'm going to make sure you do and that you two end up happy.      Serena dropped Rene off the next morning at Raye's house, hugging her and telling her she would be back as soon as she could. Rene very bravely told her mother she would be ok and would await her return. Serena smiled at her, then turned and left her. The taxi she took took her to the airport and dropped her off, where she carried her small luggage and boarded the airplane that was to take her to Athens. Once on the plane she sat back and relaxed.      She honestly couldn't believe what could have overtaken her when she had began going out with Seiya Taggart. She hadn't known who he was at first, but when she had found out she had tried staying away from him. But like his cousin, Seiya had been persisent, and she had finally given into him. And she had found him to be such a kind man, and extremely handsome also. She had met his brother, Yaten, and become good friends with him also. A fee weeks ago Yaten had told her he was going to throw her a party in honor of her success. She had agreed even though she had known Darien might go to the party.      As she drifted into sleep, she remembered him, so tall and strong and handsome, the one man that she would always love. The one man she could never forgive.      "Darien better come. I'll kill him if he doesn't!"Lita said fiercely, watching Serena stand across the room, speaking with Seiya and laughing at something he had said.      "Why do you want him to come so badly? Is there something your not telling me?"Ken asked suspiciously.      "No darling, of course not. Stop being paranoid."she saw Darien walk through the doors and immediately turned to her husband, giving him a sweet smile."I'm suddenly very thirsty. Would you get me something to drink please?"      After he had gone off she made her way to Darien, taking him by the arm and away from the group of rapidly growing females that had surrounded him."This way, you have to meet Serenity. She's stunning Dar, just stunning. You'll love her, I know you will."      They made it to Serena, who had there back to them. Lita spoke cheerily."Serenity, we haven't met."      Serena turned with a smile, but it disappeared when she saw standing before her the two people who had caused her the most pain she had ever experienced in her life. She was so shocked she let her guard drop for a moment as she stared at them in open mouthed surprise. Darien also seemed not able to believe that he was seeing her.      "Well what do you know? Its Serena, Darien!"she smiled serenely at the two shocked people."Serena, don't you remember us?"      At this her face changed to one of such intense hatred that Lita took a step back."Go to hell."she then threw her champagne in Darien's face before turning and walking away.
