Chapter 1....... Two years had passed since Galaxia's defeat. Two years of peace for the senshi, two years of growing up, of laughter and love. After her much awaited reunion with her love, Darien, he had remained with her a couple of weeks, then gone back to Harvard. He came to visit her every chance he got, holding her close for long periods of time. Serena was eighteen now. Eighteen and a recent graduate getting her belongings ready to go to Harvard with Darien. She had worked hard and in the end, her studying had paid off, for they had accepted her. Darien was ecstatic and awaited her arrival impatiently, he himself preparing the apartment they would share together. She was spending her last day with the Inner senshi, all of them at Raye's Temple, having a slumber party like in the old days. There was junk food littered all over the room as the five beautiful women sat in there pajamas, giggling and remembering old times. "Oh Serena, I can't believe your leaving."Mina sighed heavily, chewing on some candy."I can't believe your growing up." "Were all growing up."Serena corrected."And its time to move on. I want to be with my Darien just like I'm sure you guys want to be with your guys" "She's got a point there."Lita said with a grin. Raye had been unusually quiet most of the night, laughing only now and then. As Mina, Lita, and even Amy began sighing over there seperate boyfriends, Serena took Raye by the arm and led her outside, closing the sliding doors behind them. "What is it?"Raye asked, sitting down next to a quiet Serena. "I was about to ask you that. Is something wrong? Are you going to miss me that much?"Serena teased. "Of course I am. I....."she looked down a moment, then suddenly looked up at Serena."I had a dream last night...it was so real." Serena was immediately alert. Raye's dreams were something the senshi had come to know and trust over the years. "Oh no....whats gonna happen?" "Nothing.....nothings going to happen to us."Raye was quiet, deep in thought."It was so strange...it was like two different worlds opposite each other, yet they were the same. And you....you were in the middle." "Two different worlds? I don't understand." Raye didn't answer, only continued to frown. The suddenly she smiled, her worried mood gone. "Its nothing, just a dream! Just some wierd dream."she said cheerfully, quickly standing."Come on, lets go back inside. Were not even halfway through the junkfood!" The next day at the airport Serena stood before the Inner and Outer senshi, the eight beautiful women all staring at her sadly. "Are you sure about this?"Amara asked, her eyes riveted intently upon Serena's face."You could always change your mind and......stay." Serena laughed and shook her head."I belong with Darien. Wherever he is, I'm supposed to be. And besides, Harvard might do me some good." "Oh I can't believe this. Its just happening so fast."Michelle said softly, Amara placing an arm around her to comfort her. "Well you take care. And make sure to keep in touch!"Lita ordered. "Study hard and if you ever need any help, give me a call."Amy said. "I will."Serena looked at Raye and Trista, both obviously very upset and worried."Cheer up you guys, I'll be ok." Raye forced a smile."I know meatball head." She waved to all of them and walked away, disappearing through the tunnel that led her to the plane. Raye turned to Trista, her expression desperate. "Do we have to do this? Can't we stop her?" Trista was silent a moment."This is something she needs to see." Once on the airplane Serena sat back and looked out the window, watching the view. She couldn't believe she was finally leaving Tokyo to be with Darien. She had never thought this day would come. She had never imagened she could grow up. Halfway through the flight the weather suddenly changed. The clouds turned black and seemed to circle around the plane, thunder and lightening immediately beginning to light up the darkening sky. The pilot came the intercom, informing everyone to put there seat belts on and remain calm, that they were going to be hitting some very bad turbulance. She buckled her seatbelt and in the next second a sudden blast shook the plane, everyone begiinning to scream. She looked around in terror, unable to believe this was happening. Yet through the screaming, the cracks of continuous thunder, and constant shaking of the plane, she heard a voice, a deep voice. The lonliness and sorrow she heard in that voice tugged at her heart, and she could hear this man calling out to her. ......that voice.....it sounds so familiar...... A sudden jolt to the plane snapped her out of her thoughts, causing her to hit her head against the side of the airplane, knocking her out cold. There was a huge pain in her head, a throbbing that felt as if someone was constantly beating her on the head. It brought her awake, wincing with the pain, her hand going to her head, touching the deep gash there. She could feel the dried blood on her temple, pieces of her hair stuck to it. And with sudden awareness, she remembered everything. The storm, the screaming, the fear, that voice......then hitting her head and everything going black. She looked around and realized she was onm the airplane. She was in an alley, next to what she recognized as a main street in Tokyo. "Tokyo......but how did I get here?"she whispered, rising to her feet, slowly walking over and out into the street. What she saw made her freeze in her tracks. What she saw was not the Tokyo she had left, but Crystal Tokyo. But a very different Crystal Tokyo. All of the beautiful, clear crystals still ran up and down the streets and the huge crystal palace stood in the middle of it all....but it still seemed different. "Something happened......and now I'm in the future.....but how?"she thought for only a moment, then quickly walked forward and toward the palace, where she was sure she would find some answers. Just as she got there she was standing out front trying to figure out what to tell her future self when a coach pulled up, stopping before the main entrance, a tall woman with long black hair and dressed in red warriors clothing descending the steps. "Raye?"Serena whispered in shock, then stopped when a woman stepped out of the coach, a tall, beautiful woman she immdiately recognized with anger. Esmaraude gave Raye a thin smile."Good afternoon, is my betrothed ready for me?"she purred at the other woman."I've missed my Endymion very much........" Stay tuned for Chapter 2!! |
