Chapter 6......

She had died, she knew it. God, she could FEEL it. There was a distinct different between being alive and being dead. She had just found out what that difference was.
She had seen her mother, her beloved mother who had given her life for her, for just a moment, for just a split second, but even that had been enough. So when she was pulled away, yanked back, she was confused and wondered if perhaps she was being dragged to hell.
It was then that she felt it, light so radiant and pure, so strong and vibrant that it soothed her and made her smile. It reminded her of the Crystal and she wondered if perhaps it was.
She tightened her hands, gripped the ground beneathe her, and that was when she realized she was back in her body. She could still feel the wounds, that black blood in her body, but it was fading, receding away. Had it worked? Had what she had hoped to accomplish worked?
It hit her then that it had. It was Darien's love, the Senshi's love, it was there pure hearts and spirits that were healing those wounds, that were fighting against the darkness inside her. They were combining the Crystals they each carried in there bodies for there planets together to heal what had happened to her. And just as the worst of it was gone she felt Darien, the Golden Crystal, washing through her with his love, with his strength, with his hope that she would live.
She opened her eyes then, looked up at all of them. They were watching her with fear, with hope."Good job guys."her voice sounded extremely weak.
At that, all of the Senshi burst into tears, but she was delighted to see Raye was angry through her tears, like the Raye from her own world."I should have known you would pull something like that. I should have known."
"What? Die?"she struggled to sit up, grateful when Darien quickly gathered her close to him."It was the only way to wake all of you up."
"Don't do it again."Darien spoke, his voice low and angry, but more full of tears and sorrow."If you want something, next time ask."
Her strength was back now and she turned on him."Oh yea, like I asked before but you killed Trista and then would have killed all of them. I fixed what was wrong."she put her hand over his heart."I healed this. Including all of yours."
"You did. That you did."he pressed a kiss into her hair, held her close.
She had known that the only way to fix what she had left behind was to die again before them and remind them of who they trully were. It had been a risk, a huge one. She had been relying on them to reawaken there pure hearts and heal her with them and if they hadn't then she would have gone. But they had.
Trista was another matter. She was dead already and there was nothing they could do for her. They buried her near the palace, next to where the other Serena had been buried. She was heartbroken that it had been Trista's life that had had to be sacrificed for the good of the world to come back. She knew that Trista would have been happy as long as everything was right.
And just as she hadn't understood what was going on when she was pushed into this troubled world, she knew inside that soon she would be leaving it. It was a sensation, it was a lingering in her stomache that warned her any minute she could be taken. It made her want to have a word with everyone, one last word, before she was again gone.
She spoke with the Senshi, eased and relieved by the fact that they were all back to being they way they once were. There happiness and laughter helped her leave them with a smile and head to Darien's room to have a moment with him.
He stood out on the balcony, the night surrounding him, the Moon shining down on him. She walked out and stopped next to him, looking out at Crystal Tokyo also.
"Your going to leave, aren't you?"he whispered without turning to look at her.
She sighed, turned to him and gazed up at the deep frown he had on his handsome face."Yes, I am. This isn't my world, I can't stay. I don't belong here."
He turned on her and had her arms gripped in his hands before she could even blink."You do belong here, with me. I love you, I love you more then anything in this world. Isn't that enough? Can't you stay for that?"
She touched his cheek gently."Its always been enough....but your not mine. You were hers...I only gave you a chance to see what she would have become."
He shook his head, his eyes fierce, full of heartache."Please stay. Everythings better now. I'm sorry about Trista.....more sorry then you know, but there's nothing I can do now. I-"
"There IS something you can do. You can take care of them, the Senshi, and this world. I'm leaving it all in your hands and I'm trusting you with it."
His grip tightened painfully, but she kept her eyes on his. He hauled her close and buried his face in her neck."Oh God....this is it...."
"Just one more time Darien. One more time."she pulled back to kiss him, let his hands roam down her body and clutch her hips in his tightly.
He made love with her slowly, but with a desperate edge to it. He murmured words of love in her ear, promises that he would keep for her. He held her close when she lay back and breathed slowly, drowsy and content.
"If I did stay here,"she began, her voice low,"we could earn everyone's trust together. Dimando could be made an embassador for Earth, we could finally have Rene, and this city would be the center of the Universe."
His hand came up to cup her breast gently."And we could travel together, see the world, spend all of our time together. We could grow old with each other and love each other until our dying breath."
"It would be perfect because everything would be set right once again."she could feel the tears behind her eyes, but forced herself to keep them there."We'd be together and we'd be alive."
When she began to drift into sleep, he held her tighter, watched her eyes slowly closing."I'll love you no matter where you are or who your with. I'll remember having you and holding you for the rest of my life, and I'll treasure these few weeks together more then anything else."
She smiled, struggled to stay awake a bit longer."And I'll always love you Darien."
She could see the tears in his eyes, the terror and deep sorrow on his face, but was to weak to comfort him."I'll never become evil again. I'll remain pure because of you and the love we have. I'll love you into your own world, I'll love you as you grow old."his voice was fading and she could barely make out his last words."Forever.....,"he whispered,"I'll love you throughout time....."
She could feel him one moment, then she was asleep the next. She didn't know how long she slept until she felt him tapping her shoulder gently, trying to wake her up.
     "Miss. Miss."
She groaned, tried turning over only to have her head hit against something.
     "Miss. Miss, please."
     Her eyes snapped open.
It took her a moment to realize she was back on the airplane and it had been the stewardess tapping her shoulder, not Darien. She sat up and looked around, then back at the patiently waiting stewardess.
"Miss, were about to land. I need you to put on your seatbelt."her eyes were kind as she spoke.
"Land?"she asked stupidly. But....hadn't the airplane crashed?
"Yes miss, in a few moments. Please put on your seatbelt."
"Oh...all right. I'm sorry."she quickly snapped it into place.
"No problem. Thank you."the stewardess continued down the aisle, making sure everyone's seatbelts were on.
She frowned to herself, confused with what had happened. She had been with Darien, in bed with him and in his arms, and now she was back on the airplane. Had the airplane really crashed? Or had that only been part of sending her to the other world?
It was then it really hit her that she had left that world, that she would never see that Darien again. That was why she had been unable to stop herself from falling asleep. She had been being taken from that world and Darien had known. He had watched. She understood now why he had been so sad, so full of sorrow.
The plane landed and she got off, collected her lugagge, then went out to where people waited for there family and friends. She was looking about, dazed and not knowing whether or not she was happy to be back or sad, when she heard her name. She turned to see Darien jogging toward her, his grin huge, his eyes bright with happiness.
The moment he took her in his arms and held her tight, the moment he lifted her off her feet and kissed her with passion and longing, she knew she was exactly where she was supposed to be.
"I missed you so much, I'm so glad your here finally."he held her close, stroked a hand down her hair."Were together at last."
"Yea...."she clutched him, smiled."Yea, we are."
She knew she was back in her world for a reason, because Darien was good now and the Senshi had also turned good at heart also. She could trust them enough to know they would lead there future in the right direction without her there. And even though it broke her heart to know she had left the other Darien alone again, this was where she had to be.
And with people coming and going, with swarms of couples and families around them, they held each tight and she knew this was where she belonged.
