Author's Note:Ok I'm sure you've all seen the episode'An Artful Attack' from the first season. My story centers on that episode, but is not exactly like it. There are similarities. So read it and I hope you like what I did with it. Sailor Moon does not belong to me either.

The Colors Of Love
Part 1.......
Serena was sitting by the lake, watching as couples strolled by arm in arm, laughter filling the warm, spring air. The sun shone brightly, the lake sparkling with color.
She sighed heavily, the wind blowing gently against her."I wander what it feels like..."she murmured."To be in love....."
"Oh Serena!"Molly called, waving her arm and running toward her."Are you ready for that surprise?"
Serena stood, grinning at her, her melancholy mood gone."Sure am!"
"Well then lets go!"Molly turned and ran off, Serena following.
They ran through the city until they reached downtown, where Molly went into a building containing several paintings hung all over the walls; an art gallery; with people walking about and observing them.
"Wow! There so classic!"Serena's eyes were stars as she gazed up at the paintings, Molly next to her.
"Hey you guys!"Melvin joined them, adjesting his thick glasses."Know what I heard? If you buy one of Lanny Lani's paintings, all your most romantic dreams will come true!"
Serena sighed heavily."If thats true I'll plaster my walls with them."
"Hey Serena, look at this one."Molly pointed to another, of a man and a woman flying together with the moon as there background.
Serena stared at it, her eyes wide. It was so strange....like something she had seen in a dream...so familiar.
"I wish Lanny Lani would come to her shows, I'd like to meet her."Molly said.
"Well this one's supposed to be her self portrait.""Melvin pointed to a beautifully painted portrait of a woman with long, thick blonde hair, deep blue eyes, white skin, and the most beautiful features.
"This one kinda looks like you Serena."Molly said softly.
"Yea...it does."they stared at it, oblivious to the woman with glasses, braids, and plain clothes walking behind them, observing everyone closely.
"Its hopeless...."Peggy Jones whispered."I'll never find the models I'm looking for..."
Darien was walking by the gallery, his hands in his pockets, a scowl on his face, when his eyes caught a portrait in the window. He stopped to look, entranced with the beauty of the young blonde woman as she gazed lovingly up at her dark haired prince, the two flying together with the moon behind them.
     "She's so perfect....and so familiar..."he murmured.
Peggy left the gallery, her eyes downcast, sad as she had been for days. She had this great idea for a painting, but she needed the perfect models or else it wouldn't work. And so far she hadn't found them.
Darien took a step back and bumped into her, knocking all of her things to the floor."Oh I'm sorry!"he bent to help her pick them up.
"Its alright."she looked up, pushing her glasses back, then her eyes widened in shock."Its you! Its you! Oh my gosh, I found you!"
     "Huh?"Darien frowned.
Serena, Melvin, and Molly were all staring up at a painting when Molly turned to see Darien standing outside the gallery window, a woman pulling on his arm.
"Hey Serena, isn't that Darien, the guy you can't stand?"Molly asked.
Serena turned, saw him, and immediately became angry."Sure is! And he's with another girl! Wait until I tell Raye about this! I'll see you guys later, k?"she ran out of the gallery.
Peggy pulled on Darien's arm."Please pose for me."
"Pose for what? Whats wrong with you lady? And would you let go of my arm?!"he snapped.
"Got ya!"Serena jumped next to them."I'm telling Raye all about this Darien! You two timing jerk!"
     "What are you talking about?"
Peggy saw Serena, gasped in surprise, then grabbed her arm also."This is perfect, I found the both of you."
Serena tried moving away, but she held her firmly."Hey let go."
"I'm sorry, I know this must be so strange to the boht of you, but I need your help. I need you to model for me."she let them go and put her hands together, pleading with them."I have this great idea for a painting, but I need the right models or else I can't do anything."
"Model?! Me?!"Serena put her hands to her cheeks smiling dreamily."I always knew this day would come."
"I can't. I have to meet someone."Darien cut in coldly. Truthfull, he didn't want to meet Raye, but he felt bad just ditching her.
     "Please, I'm begging you."Peggy said.
Serena was twirling about, her eyes stars."I'll model and everyone will see just how perfect I really am."
Darien watched her turning in circles, listened to what she was saying, and couldn't help laughing. An afternoon spent teasing Serena and making her angry sounded much better then an afternoon with Raye glued to his side.
"You mean what a perfect clutz you are."Darien grinned when the dreamy look vanished, a glare pointed toward him."Alright, I'll do this."
     "Oh thank you so much!"
They followed Peggy past the city until they reached a small, peaceful neighborhood, going inside a two story house. Darien went and sat on her sofa while Serena gazed outside at her gardens.
"I'll make some coco. Please make yourselves comfortable."she went into the kitchen.
Serena was wandering about the living room when she realized there were several paintings literred about the room."Hey these look like the paintings at the gallery. Peggy, are you related to Lanny Lani?"
"Well....no...actually, Lanny Lani is just someone I made up. I first went by my real name, Peggy Jones, but I bombed, so now I'm going by Lonny Lani and I'm a big hit."
"But thats so sad. No one knows that its really you doing these wonderful paintings."Serena said.
"I'm not glamerous enough. People would take one look at me and lose interest in my paintings."she came back out of the kitchen and set a tray on the table next to Darien."There you go. Help yourself and please have a seat next to Darien, Serena."
She was about to refuse when a certain painting caught her eye, a painting of a man and a woman gazing at each other, the woman holding a locket in her hands to him.
"This one's beautiful."Serena picked it up and showed it to Darien."Take a look, Mr. Stiff."
He glanced at it, then gasped in surprise, leaning forward to stare more closely."This.....this painting...how did you...."he looked over at Peggy.
"Oh that one I did after a legend my grandmother used to tell me. You see, she was a princess and he was a prince, and they were in love, so she gave him this locket, that way he would always remember what they had together."she explained.
     "A star locket...."Serena whispered thoughtfully.
Darien's hand went to his pocket, where he gripped something.
"Yes, supposedly the locket will only play for them, no one else. But it is only a legend."Peggy took a charcoal and her drawing pad."Ready guys?"
