You ask me whom I admire
You ask me whom I respect
You ask me these simple questions
And I know whom Id elect
Hes really just a friend
My buddy, a good peer
And goodness knows how many times
Ive talked to him about my fears
In many ways, hes just like me
But then again hes not
And those differences make me realize
Why I respect him more than I thought
One thing that he can do
That I can never hope
He easily seems to make some friends
And always seems to cope
He seems to still have time for fun
As well as all his work
And somehow hes so relaxed
And never seems a jerk
He always offer a kind word
And always seem to care
About my feelings as much as any
And he tries his best to act fair
These are traits I cannot claim
Traits I would love to hold
And because of this, I respect him
But his name I will leave untold
