     I stand alone with my troubles 
     Alone with my past 
     Alone with my future 
     And I will never be the last 

     Alone I face my problems 
     For they belong to me 
     And no one else can shoulder 
     My own responsibility 

     I stand alone to face the pain 
     That has been there from the start 
     Alone with all the torment 
     Tearing constantly at my heart 

     Alone I stand before you 
     Alone it will always be 
     And though I may not like it 
     Alone still means just me
