I sit here waiting underneath a tree
Pondering about how things can be
And why is it that they cant see
Beyond their own reality
How can people be so blind
And keep themselves so confined
Never reaching out to find
The other people beyond their kind
Why do people so ignore
The troubles that come from war
Never thinking whats in store
From their actions and what they swore
How can people turn away
From our troubles seen each day
With every person stalked as prey
And the clouds a dark, ugly gray
Why worry about what people look
When you cant see what they took
From your life, such a crook
And theyve brought you in by the hook
Ignore the people that do glare
And cant help but somewhat stare
At all the things you can compare
For they are blind to what is rare
So I sit there wondering what is true
About all that people do
How can they have just not a clue
About all things we have been through
They must be blind, I tell you now
To not see those on the prowl
The reasons why, I know not how
Nor why they do still allow
People today, their eyes are closed
To the people they do expose
Saying, no, they were imposed
To do what someone else composed
I shake my head now and sigh
And can not comprehend why
Despite how hard I think and try
Why people do not see with their eyes
