My eyes scan the air
Through the treetops
Clouds soar above
It is the forest
The forest is a nice place
Birds chirping
The sun is warm
The trail welcoming
My feet fall softly
No sound issuing
Just the sound of gravel
And the running river
The sound of nature
Its so calming
To be with nature
To be myself
Im alone here
Upon this path
And behind me is society
Behind me are the cities
Behind me is the smog
And too many rules
Too many demands
Its what I want to leave behind
Would I rather he here
In the forest; so calm
Or in the cities
With technology; with pollution
Its so hard to say
To be close to nature
Or to be civilized
Freedom, or to be jailed
