Where would I be without my goals,
My dreams,
My hopes,
My plans?
If I never succeed in what I wish,
Am I as bewildered as a child;
Lost, forever wandering
Never knowing what lies ahead?
Would I hold a lowly job
Lacking in knowledge
With no ambition
Or unique talents to talk of
Without my planned future
Is there no hope?
Would my life crumble
As petals do in the cold?
My life would be one of torment,
Hidden deep inside.
For I would know that I had the potential
Buried deep within me all along
To fail where I could succeed;
To lose what I had to give
But the question to really ask would be
Would I still have the will to live?
