I am a person not liked at all
I am a pariah, shunned, away
I am an outcast who can cry no more
For my tears have all been shed
I am one who is left alone
Because people can not understand
My loneliness, the way I feel
Im too different, I am
I am so set apart from you
I know not what to think
Except for one thing I do know
I am nothing that they wish me to be
I am paraded like a doll
Groomed like a horse
Gossiped about like a movie star
All because I am
I will never be what you want of me
It is much too late for that
But what do you want of this wearied soul?
I only lack, and lack, and lack
I am whom I always was
With a reputation slapped on me
I wish to skirt the tightened bonds
But what can I do? I cannot flee.
I am that perfect child
Or maybe, Im just put down
Ever thought your comments
Cut me to the soul?
I never wished to be this way
I just wanted to be normal, to have friends
But it is not to be
Because, I am
I am because of my parents
I am because of my life
I am this person in front of you
This is the way I am
I may not like it
Nor, probably, will you
But you must accept and understand
That this is me, the one you've made, in front of you
