What if it could happen
That people could always know
What others are thinking
The feelings they dont show
What if you could tell
What people think inside
They dont know you know it
But they dont quite have to confide
The awesome power of knowledge
Such a wondrous thing
But tis a heavy burden
To you forever cling
For once you know it all
She cant forget it too
Youre stuck with all that knowledge
Of what people did do
I think it would be better
To remain in unknowing bliss
And not know all their problems
Those things Id rather miss
Its a double curse
To be enlightened thus
Of all these newfound things
I think I know I must
I couldnt accept such a gift
Itd turn my life around
And not always in a good way
All those secrets to be found
It's possible to know too much
And trouble then in store
For you know what you shouldn't
The lure you can't ignore
No, Id much rather remain
Ignorant and unaware
For if I knew all those things
I would hate to stop and stare
Secrets are best locked up away
Tight into others minds
No one show know those secrets
And thus, theyll stay confined
