I go and look around me
And what is it I see?
The smog and the pollution
And the dying, wilting trees
I take another look around
And what comes before my eyes?
So much fighting, so much stealing
And so many people telling lies
I look around again
And what is it I find?
So much killing, so much burning
And the destroying of one kind
And when I look around
That final, one last time
Can't seem to find the smiles
Only scowls of hate and crime
I don't know what you see
But I don't like what my vision holds
Our future looks dark and bleak
Another story to be told
What if the things I see
Were only meant to get much worse
What will happen then
Will living be a curse?
I go and look around me
And the future seems not bright
But who knows what lies ahead
What will they see out of sight?
