My room is a place of safety
Where I can retreat
From the harsh, demanding world
And safely take my seat
My room is small, petite, and still
Offering a seeming calm
Isolated from the world
A place where I can rest my palm
Its plain white walls are more than that
And the posters upon the sides
Represent what I do feel
As permanent as the tides
My room is some place I can go
When I feel troubled in my heart
And the pastel colors of the place
Makes me realize I dont want to part
Overall, I love my room
This place that belongs to me
And only I, and I alone
Can change this indefinitely
