     No one ever said
That you had to act this way
     Be absolutely perfect
     Just every single day

     No one ever mentioned
That because of who I was
I could not be one of them
With no more reason than "because"

     No one ever told me
     How people just dont care
Whether I was there that day
     Or fell deep into despair

     No ever said these words
     But actions always speak louder
And through the false cheer in your eyes
I saw feelings as small as powder

     No one ever came
And tried to become my friend
     For stereotypes and prejudice
Seemed to be the current trend

     No one ever bothered
     To try to understand
That person that was found inside
Left alone, like a small island

And because no one ever showed it
     I very nearly cried
Displaying my feelings to the world
     Who tried to sympathize

Yet the feelings just grew worse
For I still could clearly see
     No honest aura of friendship
But pity and detestation towards me

So what if they looked not my way
Their hearts all full of stone
I could always go and read a book
And maybe be no longer alone

So what if they didn't care
     Their eyes so flinty cold
     I don't need their sympathy
     And yet, I'm hardly bold

So what if they don't like me
Yet, it matters all the same
     No one truly cares
About this girl with this name
